Bmurph
F the Houston Astros
Wonder why they even signed him... I was under the impression he would have a good upside honestly
just taking another flier, not getting it done in AAA. He will be released soon probably

They aren't aberrations. They represent a pattern. Your post above is just chock-full of excuses- if he hadn't gotten injured, if he wasn't sick, if you take away his worst performances, etc.Or they do it to find out what is happening outside of aberrations.
I wouldnt have automatically inserted him while the other options were performing well
Coming into the season, the Bullpen was thought to be out biggest strength... now it is pretty clear it is the biggest weakness. I forget now, who did we trade Freeman for and is he doing any good?

They didn't, he was off the DL yesterday and they sat him
Even after he put up a 5.85 ERA last year?
I understand what you are saying and that is why I said if it continues to happen I will agree with you, but I am willing to wait and see. It's not an aberration if 3 of 13 starts are bad...
DFA'd Freeman and I think he was since released by the Brewers
I'm glad Rua took Iwakuma deep. The rooster needed to see Rua have success against a good righty. I mean no offense to Hoying, but I think the guy needs more seasoning and doesn't deserve 75% of the left field ABs. Why the hell is Bobby Wilson not playing more? Can't argue with his stats.

The one start was definitely an aberration though. He had never put up a performance like that as far as I know.
11 times over the past 6 years before this one. 4 of those times were during his recovery from the sickness that I mentioned earlier.I remember way too many 6 and 7 ER starts over his career.

What's funny is that earlier it was stressed to me that his whole career is what matters and now you are putting the emphasis on the recent performances. lolHis recent performances are what counts, same as Prince. Hard to count on them YTD. Hope they both turn it around

Over the past 4 years Hamels has done so 8 times.
