Probables vs Detroit scare me

Feldman, Holland and Darvish...

It could get ugly unless Feldman can keep it going, and Holland and Darvish step it up

I don't know what's up with Holland, but I don't expect to see anything from Darvish until they give him some extended rest. I think he's just out of gas.

I think Holland was rushed back and he didn't complete his rehab, don't think he's back all the way with his strength or his command

And I agree about Darvish, the toil of a longer American season is catching up to him

again, i agree with you on this. i think that Holland is basically going thru what amounts extended spring training here working himself back into shape.

and i think we need to stretch out Yu's starts maybe considering using either Oswalt or Ogando or both to give him more time off. set up a schedule with them splitting the starts:

Holland
Dempster
Harrison
Feldman
Yu/Oswalt/Ogando

or have them actually split the start: Yu starts & goes 3 followed by Oswalt going 3 followed by Ogando going 3. then the next start have Oswalt start and go 3, followed by Yu and then Ogando. the next start have Ogando start followed by Oswalt and then YU

Why not just go with a 6 man rotation? seems like most of these guys are starting to hit a wall physically or just need extra time to recover

If you want to keep Demster on 4 days rest, then just schedule him every 5th day and rotate guys in

The point is, there is NO ONE on this staff you feel bad about short-changing in the end on total number of starts

I will be there Saturday Night for the Holland versus Verlander Game. Holland really needs to be on. Thats the way I look at this Game going into it. But Baseball is so Un Predictable. Could wind up being a Slugfest or Holland can Pitch Great while Verlander gets pounded.

Uhhh yea i was responding to him saying he needs to be on. I said yeah he needs to have a game like one of those 2011 complete games

So why didn't you read that one line and then state it correctly and in a way that makes sense?

I could understand if you had just typed a paragraph and didn't catch that, but not one line

I'm very confident in Feldman. He gutted out the humilation of being put in the bullpen and waited for his chance to prove himself worthy of the starting rotation(unlike Oswalt). Its Darvish and cartoon brain Holland that scare me the most.

The true Feldman lies somewhere between who he's been lately (last 6 decisions, 6 wins) and who he was so start with (first 6 decisions, 6 losses)

Consider this ...

-In Feldman's string of 6 losses ... opposition scored 28 runs ... only 19 earned ... a 9 run delta. For the season opposition has scored 46 runs ... 39 earned ... a 7 run delta. So over the past 6 wins ... TEX has played lots better defense when Feldman was pitching.

-Perhaps Feldman's low point was on 4 June when he gave up 8.0ER in 1.2IP. If you throw that game out ... he's got a 3.67 ERA for the season. Over those 6 consecutive wins he's got a 2.81 ERA.

Back at the beginning of the season there was a poll asking posters who would be TEX top pitcher in 2012 (or something like that). Feldman wasn't even listed in the poll ... and Ginger made comment that before it was over Feldman might show up to be the TEX best pitcher in 2012. Tried to find that poll and bump it ... but couldn't find it.
