Interesting how they are approaching Profar's situation in not bringing him up. I wonder if they are extending team control by one year to keep him an extra year or if they think that increases what little trade value he has left.

Not that I'll get much support but Perez and DeShields are looking much better. Hope it continues. If Calhoun pans out, DeShields trade value may become a nice asset.
If Calhoun pans out, I'd rather have Deshields than Gomez at this point, he's not a great CFer but he sparks the offense so much, and his defense has actually been pretty good this year (look at the numbers 5 DRS in LF and 3 in CF) despite having a weak arm in CF
Assuming good health and barring a trade
C - Chirinos, Nicholas?
1B - Gallo
2B - Odor
3B - Beltre
SS - Andrus
LF - Calhoun
CF - DDJ
RF - Maz
DH - Choo
I wouln't be upset if they traded Odor at this point either

Agree on Gomez. Getting older and certainly isn't what he once was. DDJ has so many ways to help the club.
ExactlyDeshields should be playing almost every day as it is at leadoff. The guy does things that other people in the lineup don't ( except maybe Elvis). Deshields gets on base, takes walks, can get on with his speed, steal bases. Most of our lineup is power hitters and we need the versatility.
