I don't disagree with the idea that the solution is to punish the good pitches he does get, and I think he will eventually. He's too good not to. But I don't think that's an excuse for bad umpiring. MLB has an admitted problem not getting their star players to shine like other sports. Punishing a hitter because he has a better idea of the zone than the umpires does nothing to help that problem.

Wasn't his fault he looked at strike 3, nor Kelenic in the next AB. Still, he needs to be more aggressive at pitches in the zone.

Not on Marco at all. Only 2 of the runs were earned. 3 errors, with 2 in the same inning lead to that collapse.
Yes, Marco could have still gotten them out of it despite the piss poor play behind him, but it's not fair to put it on him tonight.

He gave up some hits and 1 average hitter ambushed a 1st pitch for a HR, but the defense is what hurt him tonight. Texas also got a double that inning on a bouncing ball that hit 1st base and found right field. Bad luck happens and Marco's gonna be fine. Defense has to be better though.

There were at least 3 pitches that inning that were clearly in the zone and called balls. Like I said, at least call your f'd up zone for both teams equally if you have to be wrong. This was some pretty bad bullshit.

I didn't realize it was Give-a-way Win night. 5 runs scored before getting an out vs the worst pitching team in baseball and they give the game away. 12 left on.

We are hitting with a 6 man lineup. I said this last year and I will say it again this year, relying on unproven guys just gets you in trouble Catching spot is below MLB average, Kelenic is below ML average, and JRod is below MLB average. Please make them tear up AAA and force you to bring them up. No gimmies.
