Kelleyman
Former WS Champs. Hope this updates in 2025
leadoff triple and you don't get the run home?!?
If you are playing to win, you don’t put in Gallo. Perhaps only to give him experience. He chased the junk.

Evan Grant acts like the only thing that a GM is going to care about is who they have control over for a longer period of time. There are other intangibles as to which one do you want to help you in a pennant race and in the playoffs. Hamels and Minor both have had their ups and downs but Hamels is battle tested. You just hope the good Hamels shows up in the playoffs.
Minor being traded would piss me off.
We need someone to eat innings until we get to the new ballpark.
We can’t run 5 triple A guys out there back to back.

Couldn't the same be said of Hamels?Minor being traded would piss me off.

He seems to be mentioning one.No he's not. He's mentioning multiple facets of what goes into trade value.
That was why I was saying he has been up and down so you are right there. But there is a difference many times, not all the tine, when it comes to being there before. And if I am in the playoffs do I want to take a chance on Hamels or Minor to start one of the games. And I do think Hamels would be starting one of them.Although you make a valid point, Hamels has not been missing bats for quite some time now. I'd honestly view him as a guy who may help you get to the playoffs as a #4 or even a #5 starter, and then be a non-factor come playoff time.
