IMO, the CF gets to catch whatever he can get too and chooses to do so. BUT he's got to take control before the game has even begun, and Martin could take control over a family picnic it seems to me.

And he's definitely got to take control over a raw rookie, who really doesn't know how to play LF to begin with.
