This note was in Scott Lucas' report about Frisco.

"Rehabbing Ronald Guzman was 2-5 with a double and homer."

"Charles LeBlanc (.359/.400/.427) has a ten-game hitting streak. He also has a homer drought dating back to mid-June of last year. He hit ten in last year's first 64 games, none in the 92 games since. Odd."

Let's give Woodie some credit. In the 9th, he moved Gallo to LF and DDJ to Center. Choo came out giving us a better defensive OF

About friggining time a manager for the Rangers figured out how to replace a poor defensive outfielder late in a game isn't it?

I really feel sorry for Odor. I think they would he doing him a favor by sending him down.

I haven't been an Odor fan for awhile, but even I don't think he is anywhere near this bad. He needs a reset.

The stubbornness of this organization in this matter is very unbecoming, and doesn't say a lot for how much confidence we should have in the organization to make the right choices in the many decisions that lie between this point and being WS champs. Stubbornness is a very big enemy of good decision making.

What a sad commentary! Unfortunately, I agree with you 100%!

It pisses me off. Second base has been an unmitigated shit show since Kinsler was traded and it’s entirely JDs fault.

You sure have, IMO anyway, a pedestal for Kins which he doesn't deserve. He was a butcher at 2nd, was a pop-up machine with the bat, and little prick in the dugout......Just sayin

I’m not saying he was the greatest ever, but I’d still pick him over the shit show we all have been subjected too after he was traded.

I have to admit I agree with you even though I got tired of Kinsler with his mile high popups. He was guaranteed to hit at least 1 a game

He’s doing what they bought him in to do. EAT INNINGS. It’s not always going to be pretty with Lynn, but the guy can get outs and help save the bullpen over the course of the summer.

I like how Kelley came in and just shut it down. No messing around.

Leclerq did the same, you could tell he was happy and relieved when he left the field

A few seasons ago I looked up fielding percentages of the Rangers 2nd basemen over the years, and it was amazing how many times over the past 12+ years we had the worst 2nd baseman in the league......Soriano, Kins, Odor....We lead the league in errors like 10 outta 12 years in one stretch.

It's ironic to me I believe Odor actually has the 'physical tools' to be a well above avg 2nd baseman.....Just seems like something is missing.....Wonder what that is? ha ha ha

He's got 2 hits and 3 RBI today.....Let's wallow in the Blue Bonnets while we can.

I just hope they use this success as an excuse to keep him lower in the order. He makes no sense hitting second. He’s terrible at it. You generally want someone who gets on base a lot hitting there.

Pitch Chavez in the 9th

Even he couldn’t cough up this lead.

Odor did improve drastically last year. He had a dWAR of +1.5 which was 10th in the AL for that statistic for all positions combined. Year prior to that a +0.8 but all previous years in the negative.
