Hopefully, he can at least be done with surgeries. I guess a reasonable goal would be for him to only have to miss 3 or 4 starts s year due to minor injuries.

I do wonder if he is going to get old in a hurry like Semien has. I am not sure he is going to be the same pitcher a year or two from now.

If the team could get 25 good starts out of him every year going forward I think the team would be happier than a pig in schitt. With all the good young talent they have coming up the next few years you will be able to save him for the really important games and playoffs. (I thought Winn did a good job last night, that's encouraging)...

Since he's not going for strikeouts as much as in the past he seems like he's more efficient now than when he was younger. He was throwing about 3700 or more pitches just to get to 200 innings He's letting the defense do it's thing and he's taken a few mph off the heater. That should hopefully keep his arm is one piece going forward cause I'm guessing the velocity he was throwing at led to the last 5 years of issues. Not all guys are like Ryan, Chapman and a couple others that can throw 100+ for years and years...

As far as Semien goes I just think he's flat worn out and needs more of a break from the pressure of playing everyday. And if I was Bochy I would make him sit at least 15 per season, especially when you have guys like Josh Smith and Duran around...
