It makes sense to put Scherzer on the 60-day DL since there is no timetable for his return.

He may not make it back at all this year, and if he does, he may not stay healthy very long before going on the DL again.

If I remember correctly last night he pitched 2 innings and struck out 5. We have a number of guys going nowhere in the minors. I wouldn't mind picking him up since he would be under contract for a number of years.
