Nice win Holland, keep it going
I would contemplate putting Moreland in LF with Nap at 1B. Nap seems to be seeing the ball well in his last few games.
You're downgrading two defensive positions if you do that, and I don't think our pitching staff can handle that right now.
Agree. Don't tinker with the OFYou're downgrading two defensive positions if you do that, and I don't think our pitching staff can handle that right now.
I'd think Skip deserves some Manager of the Year consideration. For the Rangers to be still in it without Yu or Holland all year is pretty impressive
While MM is better than Nap at 1B, Nap is still a good 1B. You upgrade the line-up quite a bit and I think it could work. The pitching staff benefits from the addition to the line-up. You pointed out a negative, but left out the positives.
Well it's because I think the defensive downgrade is more severe than the offensive upgrade.
I don't. I wouldn't do it every game, but I think MM can play LF. He has a better arm than any of our current OFers. DDJ and his range helps a lot too.
MM does not have the speed as do Josh or Strausborger. To move him at this point is a no no.IMO. Best defense at first hands down.Mitch has earned the right to not be moved like that, and Napoli's bat is nowhere near what it would take for that move to be what's best for the team.

I disagree, but Venable will keep it from happening anyways. If they asked MM he would do what's asked of him. He's not a Hall of Famer. Napoli's bat is starting to come around. We're wasting it if he only plays 1 out of 3 or 4 games.
There you go. Because of that it just will not happen. And Moreland is so stinking slow that there would be balls hit that are being caught now by our current OFers that he will be no where close to catching them.I disagree, but Venable will keep it from happening anyways. And listening to Nap he is good with it. And we have to remember that he has really struggled with RHers this year. We knew this would be an issue with Moreland, Fielder and Napoli and only 2 places to put them.Mitch would move if they asked him, but that's what I meant about the move not being what's best for the team. And FWIW, Napoli was brought in as a situational bat.
That could be a good idea.
Glad you were able to go to a good game.I brought this up yesterday morning, and go to the game......walla.....No Prince.
Gotta tell you guys, I sure saw a lot of exciting, encouraging baseball this afternoon.
