and its not so much that they "fired" him...its they offered him a contract, he wanted to explore other options too....so the Rangers decided to move on.

They didn't fire him. Sounds like madduxx either wanted a role or dollars the Rangers couldn't or wouldn't give him. Best of luck to him. I hope we find a capable replacement.

I don't think he was fired either but Jeff Wilson doesn't seem to share our opinion.

Coaches are mostly overrated on in game results, but as entities they are comforting and as people we tend to like them. That's why I know the team will be okay, but it still sucks to see him go.

Can't imagine the Rangers being interested in him at the top level. After all he's never coached.
