We already have a good 4th outfielder in Martin. Maybe he will turn into a descent lead off man, but if he plays full time the OF, which he plays very well, he needs a little pop around him. It appears that the Rangers need three hits an inning to score a run and on most nights they have a hard time doing that. Choo, Martin and Rios have 16 or 17 HR's between them. Nelson Cruz has 25 and therein lies a huge problem for this team.
Martin is a good CF. Not great yet, but good and the chances of him getting better are with us IMO. He's hitting about .270 but doesn't show much power, which is fine, with his speed. He'd be a better fit at LO, but Choo's best spot seems there, although he does have gap power.
None of the 3 you mention will be HR hitters, and we never expected them to do so.
It is going to be interesting to see what the Rangers do re: (1) the trade front this year (2) who they call up - Beltre/Adduci - and how they respond over the next 3+ months (3) what Choo/Martin show from here on in.
