It actually just happened in practice yesterday.

Sather *claims* that he tried to address it as soon as he found out:

"There wasn't an awful lot of time," Sather said during a conference call. "There were a couple of possibilities, but when you're looking for something with short notice like that, it gets very expensive to find an NHL backup goaltender that has experience.

"We just didn't want to lay a lot of things on the line. I know it's risky, but I know that Henrik loves the work and he loves to play."

Personally, I don't buy it. When have we ever known Sather to walk away from a deal because it was too expensive

Lundqvist has struggled this season, correct? In the past he's been able to shoulder very heavy workloads, maybe this will be the kick start he needs.

I feel bad for Biron he's a great team player. Of course the Rangers hater in me feels it couldn't happen at a better time.
