We will need Martinez to pitch his ass off tomorrow. We don't fare well against Iwakuma.
Another good W! That has to feel good for Leonys.
Soria is a FA after this season isn't he?
Right back at ya', Murph.Happy Father's Day Gents!

Little streak of your own with these threads!
Some knuckleheads on the board were suggesting we trade him.

How is that a bad idea? He has max value as a reliever. Texas could pick up a solid return for their investment.
You have no business calling anyone a knucklehead. I would still consider trading Soria depending on the return. Soria will be highly coveted.
By the way, that "knucklehead" was me
Tell you something for a fact, every player is trad-able. It all boils down to what is another team willing to give us in return? It really is this simple.
Personally, I hope we don't and a team would really have to overcompensate for me to feel otherwise. Our BP is a complete shadow of itself and he is actually someone you can build it around.
$7m option next season is going to be a little steep for a releiver so I see no harm in seeing what's out there but RP is definitely something we need and if we get rid of Soria, that's just another hole to fill in the off season.
Starting pitching is going be a even bigger hole... so if he can get you a great starter, let's do it, but a team trading us would likely be competing and they are going to need their starters to continue to do that. So that scenario is pretty unlikely IMO.
Ranger dude gets it. I think people are thinking too hard about getting rid of the few good players we do have. Do you want to be Round Rock Rangers 2.0 next year?
No not redundant Don. Some people hear just don't listen thus don't savvy. This was my post: "Tell you something for a fact, every player is trad-able. It all boils down to what is another team willing to give us in return? It really is this simple."
I'm not recommending anything, but more willing to at least explore options available. Maybe you've heard the phrase, "listen and learn?"
I said it sufficiently once, so perhaps I'm being redundant.

Thanks.....I'm not his enemy.....but gotta admit, he was pissing me off with this attitude.
Baseball, like life, is a series of negotiations. But we can't make this mistake of, "he's untradable."
Honestly DT....there's nothing magical about this is it?[/QUOTE No. Not for most since it's been a part of baseball since dirt arrived.
