Looks like a meltdown is going on here. A's have the momentum.

One possible reason could be the ill effects of last year's WS loss. Approach avoidance syndrome?

It could be that the A's are just hot and the Rangers's aren't right now. Who knows, it's baseball.

What's puzzling is that the A's are the ones playing like THEY have the last 2 WS experiences under their belt and the Rangers are the ones freezing up under the pressure.

If we'd won it all last year we wouldn't be feeling the pressure but because of the way we blew it we are feeling it.

As for today....... Do you rest some of the players that obviously need it? (Kins, Cruz, etc)... Knowing theres a good chance (50/50) that you will be playing Friday.

Or....do you run out the same "typical" lineup...and hope for the best?

Me, personally.....since Griffin has been outstanding...and bc this team seems tired....I call a team meeting. Have Nolan in there to fire the team up. I run the same typical lineup out there....and if things get ugly quick.... put in the future.

Personally, I like the chances of playing Balt.....but New York......ehhhhhhh

This team has only been swept TWICE this season. Once in a 2 game series against KC....and once in a 3 game set against the White Sox. BOTH before the All-Star break.

I don't get why you think they are buddy/buddy, its pretty obvious by some of JD's moves that he was trying to force Wash to make the right moves...

Now that the collapse is almost complete, its only a matter of time before Wash is sent packing
