I agree on those two.Refsnyder has pop in his bat? Have you seen his career numbers. We going to have to let 1 or 2 go to make room for Volquez, Refsnyder

Well Choo hasn't much arm either.I would rather have Choo In LF over Solak. He has no arm. Much more suited for 2B
Also possible the Astros have a better chance to cheat their way in.Rangers playoff odds just went up!
expanded playoffs has been agreed to.
this season is a shit show anyway. Might as well make it more interesting. Looks like the top 2 teams in each division make it and then 2 wild cards after that per league.
the rangers could conceivably finish 4th in the AL West and make the playoffs. It’s unlikely, but possible.
Pop relative to Rivera. But yes he may have to go once the roster goes down.Refsnyder has pop in his bat? Have you seen his career numbers. We going to have to let 1 or 2 go to make room for Volquez, Refsnyder

And Choo is a short timer. This is a perfect time to find that strong arm. Choo can DH and Willie and others need to find a home in LF. Choo has had his time.Pop relative to Rivera. But yes he may have to go once the roster goes down.
But no room is needed now.
I am not impressed too much by any of our hitters. Rockies first four in the lineup is superior to ours. So don’t think I am high on Refsnyder. Just a best of bad choices.
Now re Solak. I saw his throws in from LF and last year at 3B. It is well below average. I like his bat. Choo is not elite but he is a better LF than Solak

i figure the Astros, A's & the Angels from the west make the playoffsyou know the astros we’re going to make it regardless.
That is a good bet. We have pitching but run support is deeply in question. And Choo is a short timer. This is a perfect time to find that strong arm. Choo can DH and Willie and others need to find a home in LF. Choo has had his time.
Well yeah. Choo could easily be traded at the deadline. It is all relative. Ideally Willie is a DHAnd Choo is a short timer. This is a perfect time to find that strong arm. Choo can DH and Willie and others need to find a home in LF. Choo has had his time.
I don't think we are selling at the deadline. It was very doubtful before, but now that sub .500 teams are in the playoffs hardly anyone will be traded leaguewide.Well yeah. Choo could easily be traded at the deadline. It is all relative. Ideally Willie is a DH
The Rangers would have easily been the second wildcard last year under this scenario, with 78 wins.Rangers playoff odds just went up!

Don't be surprised if they re-sign Choo. There was an article out about that possibility back in ST.I guess we could theoretically sneak at #8 being sub 500. Literally no argument re Choo. I just think I would rather improve our defense in LF and have Willie DH. Of course assuming Choo is gone. But all could be wishful thinking. And we have a lot to improve offensively and defensively. Anyways it will be nice to watch a game tomorrow night
just my opinion but i think we will see this in the AL: Houston, NYY, Minn, TB, Oak, CHW, Bost and Cleve.
Rangers only sub 500 team last year
Unfortunately I won't be surprised. We need better defense and less DH guys. The new DH likely next year looks like it will extend his careerDon't be surprised if they re-sign Choo. There was an article out about that possibility back in ST.
Certainly hope not. Young vs old. Choo has had his day. Time to move on.Unfortunately I won't be surprised. We need better defense and less DH guys. The new DH likely next year looks like it will extend his career
