Bottom line, Moss needs more playing time.

Otherwise why even pay the guy $3.5M or whatever we did as a salary?

He would have had 3 catches for decent yardage and a TD if Smith didn't think he was 11 feet tall

agree, Moss is still ok running routes and does get open, but Alex can't hit Moss with regularity? most of his passes to Moss are high.

All looks like much ado about nothing imo.

He should be close to join the 49ers to fill in until Manningham and Crabtree are healthy enough to play. I see a lot of struggles at the WR position for us until late in the year when Crabtree comes back, and even then I'm not sure how long it will take him to perform like he did during the last half of the season last year.

I always wished moss could have made it another year or two happily here. He was fucking good at what he did.

I would guess if you look to welker's comments, you may see some of the reason. Maybe moss figured he was already a hall of famer and didn't want to be called out. Or maybe he respected that even Brady got called out, so it was a non-issue. I honestly don't know. He was still fairly productive and kept to himself in terms of the press. If there were issues in the locker room I can't tell you, but the move came as a surprise to me. There wasn't a lot of rumbling besides the usual fluff pieces.

Clearly something went wrong between moss and either Brady, Belichick, or the organization (Kraft). I really don't know what.
