Let's change it because a supposed injustice was done. Baloney, the Rams won their division while having the hardest schedule in football. They beat more good teams this year than the Vikings.
I literally started the post you quoted by stating I'm not lobbying for them to change the way they seed the playoffs.

yeah. They will never change it.
The only drastic change they could do is go to just two division in each conference, which also will never happen.
Division Champs will always host. Otherwise there is no real reason for divisions. & being a division champ would be meaningless.

We are to stuck on historical rivalries to make any real changes to divisional structures. One example. Why the Cowboys are still in the eastern division.

I don't want them to change anything. It should matter to win a division and as a result we have great late season games that actually mean something. The Vikings just picked a bad year to go 14-3.

To a lesser note, Miami in the East. They are technically East, but should really be in the South division. KC being West and Indianapolis being South are a bit odd too. Still, no easy re-shuffle even if they wanted to (to fix all the odd placements).

What they do if the Jags ever move to London would be curious. Nobody would want that travel day in their division, but AFC East might be the shortest path overall?

Does any team have an easier schedule next year than the 49ers? I’ve never seen anything like it

it's hard to say what's an easy win next year.

things change, INJURIES remain a large part of this game.

Still, I’ve never seen a softer schedule for a team ever. Things hit just right for the 49ers, a good team ravaged by injury and poor coaching on defense and the ridiculous special teams should get healthy and add new coaching. with this last place schedule theyare set up to win big next year

Or they're a year older and the injuries keep piling up.
