I have yet to see a Bears fans admit that their team took the wrong QB. Was it necessary for Caleb to have a Bryce Young season? I had noticed it so I went searching Bears sites and forums, it's amazing how much in denial they are.
It’s ridiculous to make bold judgments after just one season. Plenty of QBs suck their rookie year, what Daniels did this year and what Stroud did last year isn’t the norm, and Caleb wasn’t even that bad this year. And Bryce Young is showing that he may be decent after all for that matter. To label Caleb a bust/draft mistake after just 1 season is dumb

I think its been apparent they took the wrong QB for awhile (Bengals game) despite the fact that generally you shouldn't judge a QB for 3 years. Bears were built to win this season and they didnt.

I still think the Caleb Williams could end up being a very good QB but coaches were fired this year. Coaches wouldn't have been fired with Daniels. I get that probably doesnt matter if you're a Bears fan but it does show that the people who made the pick got it wrong.

Daniels was special this year. Cool as can be at this level and remained upright. Great season.

I remember thinking all the 2016 QB's were a joke compared to our 4th round guy. Nothing can be defined from one season other than that season.

many of these guys said the same after Luck and RG's rookie season. Horrible front runner fan base.

Williams can still end up better than Daniels. Like I said, from a fans standpoint you can still like the Caleb Williams pick. From a front office standpoint, they screwed up.

yes they did if they knew the outcome but they didn't, so...

i didn't watch all that many of their games but when I did, Williams wasn't getting to many second reads. Daniels clearly stepped in the NFL from LSU and didn't miss a beat. Injuries seem to be his only hurdle. I need three years before I can define. Sorry.

That is generally how it works for the rest of us. Like I said, the only people who failed at this point are the ones out of the job.

Ben Johnson I guess picked the Bears for a reason. They underachieved and they're really talented.

I think Ben Johnson choose the Bears cause Williams gives him the best change to have the quickest impact as a head coach. The Bears have some solid guys but I bet that roster turns over more than some might think.

we'll see

Too early to tell if the Bears' rookie QB is up to the job at the NFL level. Not too early to see that the HC and OC were not. It reminded me of the Rams 2016 season.

Johnson's first order will be the oline. I think he has shown to value running the football as much as all the misdirection in the passing offense.

I never wanted Redskins to draft CW. I wanted maye. I’m glad I didn’t get my guy and instead they took JD. I still think maye can play though and CW still has a chance I’m not going to knock a fan base for backing their player. Had redskins drafted CW I would’ve been behind it 100% till it was evident it wasn’t going to work. That’s just what fans do.

When did I ever say Caleb was a bust? Read my post again. It's obvious that they should have taken Jayden Daniels. He is in a place already where Bears fans can only hope their guy gets to.

We had no problem doing it with Carolina last year, even though Celeb was not nearly as bad as Young was in his rookie season the parallels are there. "Decent" is not good enough when the guy picked next is clearly better. Bryce Young was clearly the wrong pck and we don't need 3 years to make that call.

I do think Caleb Williams will be better than decent, I hope he is really good. But today, right now, it was obviously the wrong pick and everyth8iing else is speculation. There are serious questions if Williams will ever be as good as Jayden Daniels. Will his accuracy improve, his poise and ability to read the field? Not sure how we can claim that is a given.

With all that said Ben Johnson would be the perfect fit in Chicago. What he got out of Jared Goff was really impressive and it would be a great way to grow your young QB. With all his skills Caleb could blow up under Johnson.

I think most Bears fans and pundits agree that they are more talented than the 5-12 record they sported this season. But I think most of us also now feel we're not as talented as we thought when so many said prior to the season that this is a playoff caliber roster. I'd peg it more along the lines of a team that's probably .500 or perhaps a touch higher in terms of talent - meaning the Bears brass have more work cut out for them if they want to participate in the postseason.

It’s a terrible year to need to draft a QB. I’m not sold on any QB, I‘m sure Sanders and Ward will go high, but I’m not 100% sold on either of them being a strong franchise QB. I’m really glad my Falcons got our QB last year - even though the pick was controversial at the time it was clearly the right move - last year’s class had a lot of strong QBs, this year’s doesn’t. If Ward and Sanders go at 1-2, I have no idea who the Giants take at 3, I don’t think there’s any other QB in this class that’s worth a first round pick, much less #3 overall.
Sanders and Ward both deserve to go in the 1st round, maybe not top 10-15 but they are both good QB's.

Milroe is going to be godawful as an NFL quarterback, mark my words
He probably going anywhere from 2nd to 4th round.....

He won't be good.....reminds me of a slimmer JaMarcus Russell....LOL.
