Andy Reid better look for non-dumbass Texas player at WR. ... though Worthy wasn't caught on tape so that still a TBD.
Last year, it came from Rashee Rice’s street-racing incident in Dallas. This year, Xavier Worthy has been arrested for assault. Here’s the charge: “ASSAULT FAM/HOUSE MEM IMPEDE BREATH/CIRCULAT.”

So thus far a few FA's offensive players have been on the move. Geno to the Raiders, Adams to the Rams and Metcalf to the Steelers.
Likely a decent upgrade for the Silver and Black (from what they had). Adams no longer an alpha with Puka there (though Kupp did ok as a #2) - and who throws for the Steelers becomes a big question now for Metcalf (plus the competition from Pickens) as to his production.

Apparently the Worthy family had a change of heart realizing their meal ticket would be jeopardized. ... charges dropped.

From the looks of free agency the teams in need of a QB sure don't seem to have much faith in this yrs rookie class. Jets kicking the tires on Fields, SeaChicks going with Darnold, Raiders going with Geno, Browns kicking the Pickett tires? (they may still take one though), and seems the Steelers are going to go with Rodgers. Assuming the Rodgers to Steelers comes true, That would only leaves Titans and Browns still up in the air.

I'd say almost all of those teams will still be picking a QB. The only dudes that MIGHT be more than a 1-2 year band aid would be Darnold, and maybe Fields, but as far as I'm concerned, they both are big fat nothing burgers as far as a real plan at QB goes.

But none of this years QB's scream week 1 starter, at least not right now, so everyone would be well advised to grab one, imho. I think at least a few of these moves were made with a guy like Dart or Ewers or Milroe in mind to sit and watch for a year or so.

But it does give those teams leverage to not HAVE to trade up to get Ward, or HAVE to reach to draft Shaduer.

Wouldn't be surprised to see Shaduer take a Aaron Rodgers-esque fall in draft day.

That's likely the case - a number of the rooks WILL get drafted, but it seems other than the top couple (as unexciting as they are) they likely will be more or less 'projects' or career backups. Looking at Devy rankings the 2026 class has more to offer - at least as of now. Of course, that can all change. ...

My Raiders just lost their D. both Spillane and Diablo gone. Now it's Max Crosby, and a couple slightly above average DB's..and that's pretty much it. Combined that with Geno Smith at the helm, zero Wr's, and zero decent Rb's...gonna be a one SHITTY season

There's also the wild cards like Milton from NE and Trey Lance for teams to sign as 'project'..although I snicker every time someone says Lance is a project..he's had his time and still doesn't get it, but hey, maybe he'll have a Gannon-like awakening in late 20's?

Think this is the biggest reason behind the mediocre QBs getting deals.

If any of those teams did love Ward or Sanders, the last thing they'd want to do is tip their hands this early in the process.

Maybe some teams saw what the Falcons did and decided to try a cheaper version this offseason

Daniel Jones to Colts - mentor/backup to ARich. Wouldn't be surprised if he plays more than ARich

Like Treff said a lot of these teams could very well take QB's at some point in the draft. I think most are realizing how lackluster this class looks so why not take a chance at a guy mid or late rounds instead, sign a veteran.

I am pretty positive the Browns plan is to sign Cousins. Pickett will be a backup, both mentors for the rookie QB they draft. It won't be at #2 if they sign Cousins. Either in the mid-rounds or they trade up in the late 1st for Dart IMO. I think if the Browns LOVED Ward they would trade up to 1 but I am just doubting they love anyone at the top of this draft board that plays QB

There always seems to be a QB that falls and one that jumps up the board. With only two QB's "at the top" this year so far. I think Sanders is the guy to fall unless a team gets desperate...I think he will still go top 10.

last word I heard out of Atlanta is they have no intentions of cutting him either, so as it stands today, they'd have to trade for him and his contract. And I assume he's got a no trade clause that he may or may not invoke? How badly do you want to be a starter and get paid that money you thought you were going to get? Or do you, for the third time in your career, play the high stakes game of chicken with your contract situation and wait for someone to blink while you collect 40M on the bench?

Aiming for Arch Manning is not a bad play.
