I remember those days - - back when you could see a good ole fashion defensive struggle and less than 14 total points scored. Now a FG is basically considered a missed TD opportunity. ....

It's whacky but they clobbered the Eagles without a run game.

This was a bad draft for runningbacks. Of course they should have added one of the many veterans available.

Thought an UDFA like Schrader would've been perfect for them too, then SF gets him after they drafted the Louisville guy.

Schrader is the love child of Burkhead/Woodhead - good receiving chops, low center of gravity, always gets more yards than you think he's going to. Nothing special but a Mike Davis type that's serviceable in a pinch.

I think that baffles me even more than the 8 picks without a RB. Why not even one single udfa signed, like immediately after the draft?? You know it would be a VERY attractive destination for any of them who might have multiple offers, why wouldn't they go to the team with a crap depth chart? Ughh.. frustrating

I'm sure there were a number of the later rd RBs just sitting there hoping to be the one. ... especially given they pretty much all went where they're 2-3 injuries away from seeing the field - other than on special teams.
