let him keep up the dumb shit play calling, end up getting his ass canned.
I don't think he has much choice and should stay with the Jumbo, and double team blocking they did. They need to keep those young Olineman 'winning'!Thoughts on da Bearsss game.
would McVay have run the ball that much with all those jumbo packages if Woods and Cooks were not out? Will he continue to run the ball when Woods and Cooks come back? Or will he keep Cooks off the field more and put that FB/TE in the backfield?
sure hope he stays with the FB and finds that balance that makes his offense so dangerous.
Just as everyone has thought, Ramswire has an article indicating that Havenstein may not get his job back as Evans is playing that good and Havenstein sucked before he got hurt. Too much holding. Next stop I believe will be out the door for draft picks and maybe a player like we did with the Corbett deal.
That said does Havenstein get cut next year for cap space? Whitworth will be gone. That’s some dough to go get a LT in FA. Probably need to draft an olineman/center early in the 2020 draft
They probably have to trade him, cutting him is a bad option has he has over 6 million in dead cap space, but has more team friendly deal after next year.
As far as Whitworth, he said he might come back next year, but do we really want him, it better be at a team friendly price, his play has declined this year, but I can see him using next year to groom a future LT.
Hope you’re right. I’ve always liked him as a pass catching TE, all the way back to his college days at WKU.Higbee is going to really shine the rest of the way.
That is one big positive heading into next year.
I’m guessing they cut bait with Whitworth and Whitworth calls it a career. So if Evans is the real deal, does Havenstein play LT or do you trade him for a 3rd/4th rounder?
...or does Noteboom move out to LT with Corbett staying at LG?
