Rams high on Bryce Petty

Per NFL.com - Official Site of the National Football League Jeff Fisher will draft a QB next month to compete with Nick Foles. He stated he likes Bryce Petty. In fact, the Rams will meet with him sometime next week. I saw his combine and was very impressed with his arm strength and footwork. Didn't see much of him in college. Thoughts?

I am not sure I would take anything Fisher says at this point time too seriously because he has a history of keeping his true intentions close to the vest especially a month before the draft. I am reserving the right to wait and see.

the last time team Snisher came out and said something definitive, they up and traded the guy so you gotta take everything with a grain of salt.

They won't draft a QB. they need to win now. They can get a QB next year if need be. I think they actually say this because it would be nice to have a QB but when it comes down to the draft they have to fill holes not draft a guy to sit on the bench.

But Kiper said this morning he is hearing from GM's that Petty is passing Hundley on folks draft boards and might be gone late first early second round. Not taking him that early. I like Grayson on day 3 as well.

To be honest, I like Petty!

But if I can draft Hundley in the 3rd instead of Petty, I'm all for it!

I doubt it will happen that way.

Yeah, this is a smoke screen. Bryce Petty is exactly everything that Jeff Fisher hates in QB's. He's a strong armed guy that will force balls because of that confidence in his arm. Fisher hates guys like that. He wants timid guys that do not make mistakes.

I'm telling you guys, this guy has Kyle Boller written all over him. If he throws the ball through the uprights while kneeling at the 50 yard line for his pro day, look out.
