Anyone else concerned that Scherff only put up 23 reps at the combine?? its almost like he didn't train for it which isn't a good sign. I think the WR White put up 23 as well. I was really high on him till that.

Yeah an Olineman without strength is like drafting a WR that can't catch.

Reps mean nothing. Theres more to playing Oline than just pure strength.

Orlando Pace did 24.

I wonder how long pace's arms are compared to Scherff. I'm guessing longer. I'd rather see more reps from a guard then a tackle too. Guards are in the trenches.

But... If you don't have a lot of strength, good luck on the Oline. And Orlando Pace could have coasted thru the combine and still got drafted #1 overall.

Honestly I don't even look at anything at the combine, none of it is football.

Jason Smith did 33 reps and we all know what kind of player he was. Scherff is a beast and would be a great mauler for us.

The thing is, Scherff is a college OT that is being projected inside in the pros. Expecting him to be a mauler inside may not be wise.

Orlando Pace did 24.
Orlando Pace's arms were 3 inches longer which is pretty notable. Pace also ran a 4.9 and was known for footwork and being able to play on the outside. Scherff is probably going to be on the inside and maybe on the rightside and isnt known for footwork.

If you're picking an olineman who isnt a LT at 10th overall, he better be amazing. You don't fill needs with first round picks. You draft future pro bowlers and build your team around them.

Look no further than Logan Mankins. He was a LT his whole career at Fresno State and he became the best guard in the NFL at his peak.

Logan Mankins eats his young. Let's see that test at the combine before we draft a guard at #10.

So any note worthy news coming out of Rams park this week so far? It's been pretty quiet.

jacob - Pieces of a mock draft from SportsWeb that was posted today under the Rams section on Yardbarker:

#4 Raiders - Amari Cooper - 1st WR off the board

#7 Bears - Kevin White - 2nd WR off the board

#9 Giants - Andres Peet - 1st OL off the board

#10 Rams - DaVante Parker - 3rd WR off the board

It's easy to see where the value is between WR and OL!

NO way you take the #3 rated WR at #10. The #4,5 WRs are not that far behind.
