didnt he just get a contract like a yr ago or am i mistaken?? Its a business yes but screw that, dont give up 7 tds and maybe we can talk.
Apparently after this season he had no more guaranteed money. Which is why he wanted/got a new one from the Dolphins.

The latest CBS sports mock has the Rams trading into the First Round at pick 16 to take the big strong-armed QB from Kentucky, Will Levis. The proposed trade would be for First Round pick 16 from Detroit and the Rams would give up picks 36 and 77 this year and a Second Rounder in 2024. Then the Rams would select Calijah Kancey, the supposed AD clone out of Pittsburgh with pick 69. If the Rams do that, that would be a good start to the draft for a change. Then they should field offers for Stafford to get more picks this year.

I doubt he lasts to 16. Kancey isn't lasting to 69 either IMO.

I don't know exactly why the Rams continually string people along with these one-year deals especially with guys that are playing way better than their status like Hoecht and Copeland. If these guys are that good, make it a Two-year deal with an option Third year. The answer is obvious.

Yep ALR. The shitferbrains twins are completely inept at personnel decisions and roster development. They can't find anyone interested in trading for Allen Robinson. They give players away for nothing. They are horrible at drafting talent. So it is a complete waste of time to get excited about our picks and all that goes with it because the Shitfirbrains twins will just eff-it-up and pass on the good talent that everyone else agrees upon but not these two jackasses. They'll do it again this year unless they get somebody involved with player decisions in there that knows what the hell they are doing and has power to override them both. The only player that has been the model of all of it has been AD and he was picked by the Drama Queen!

Yeah, their first draft was stellar, and it’s been all downhill ever since.

And that is why the roster looks the way it does currently.

Add in the stupid contracts that have them in cap hell, and trading players for peanuts when you gave the farm to acquire them, and it’s a proverbial “ what not to do as an NFL franchise for dummies “ bestseller.

They're in cap hell. As money frees up, they can be more aggressive with contracts.

What is the success rate of any any team on day 3? Rams haven't drafted in the 1st round under McVay. They were essentially day 3 only in his second year (best pick was a 3rd on Noteboom, who was a supplemental draft pick). They had a 2019 1st, but traded it down several times.

If you're going to evaluate their use of draft picks, include the veterans that those traded picks (Goff, Ramsey, Cooks, Stafford, Von Miller) and the resulting Super Bowl win. Not the same lasting effect of quality draft picks, but those may not get you a championship either.

I hope this is not one of those fake, media interviews and meets the Rams do every year, telling everyone we are interested in this guy when they are not even close and it is just a bullshit ploy to hide their real picks which are usually rag players in the long run. The Rams really need to draft this guy so he can learn from AD before he retires.

After reading numerous articles and informational sources, unless someone out there offers OBJ a boatload of cash, I am fairly certain he will eventually sign with the Rams before training camp. He recently reduced his contract offer demands and he stays in regular contact with Cooper Kupp and Stafford. We shall see, though.

In case ya missed it or give a Rat's ass, that PODS Chandler Brewer left and signed with the Jaguars. Good riddance and ten-to-one he will be out-the-door there are back on the Jags' PS to start the season.

Beckham finally signs with the Ravens. He was asking too much to re-up with the Rams. Rams are in a cash-saving mode and are preparing for 2024 on a number of levels. Safe to say the Shitfirbrains twins are in a mini-rebuild mode no matter what they say in public.

Surprised the Rams didn’t jump on Okudah seeing they have a need at CB and he got traded for only a 5th round pick.

That would’ve been a good trade

His 5th year option at $11M for 2024 is looming, probably good reason to not pursue him.

Plus he'd likely be looking for a new contract real soon which we wouldn't be willing to pay since we apparently have an eye on major cap room in 2024.

The shitfirbrains twins are in rebuild mode and they will sign their draft picks and a host of UDFAs. All the new coaches will probably direct that activity just like the new STs coach from the Panthers recently cleaned-house and they will keep "their" guys. We will see a bunch of young new faces and 2023 will be a mid-pack year at best.
