I think the Rams will sit on him or convince the Broncos to take him in a Chubb trade coming up or even get Cleveland to take Akers and draft picks for one or both of Cleveland's RBs which would be very ideal for the Rams.

However, due to the overwhelming lack of response from the rest of the league, the Rams may have to "John Wall" Akers and let him sit at home until the off-season.

The rest of the league already understands just how underwhelming Akers has become and the fact that he is a recovering Achilles Tendon Rupture patient doesn't entice anybody to be in a big hurry to trade for him.

All of that and add the tape of the Cowboys game where he just missed two huge holes really has sealed a pretty negative forecast for Akers being unloaded. I suspect the Rams will just John Wall him.

Maybe the Jets will cough-up a 2nd and a 4th for Akers.

Doubt Jets cough up anything more than a 4th rounder, maybe a 6th as well since they have 2.

Don't see anyone giving up a 2nd for Akers the way he has looked. And if he can't get along with McVay who is considered a players coach, teams will be leary to bring him into the fold.

Well, Jets are no longer on the market looking for a RB to replace their injured starter, Breece Hall. They traded for a Jaguars RB, James Robinson. And why can't we find guys like this and trade for them? It is just mind boggling.

I guess I'm not getting why they aren't giving McCutcheon a chance??

I know exhibition games don't mean much, but he did have a pretty solid preseason. He's also a big target, at 6'3" he's taller than Robinson?????

Nobody understands it Smed. WE are all confused and genius boy seems lost as well. McCutcheon is legit and McShit-fer-Brains even put him on the active roster so other teams could not poach him!

Because McVay is an idiot.

He has his favorites and that who he plays.

Even Atwell barely gets any game time. He’ll make a big catch like he did a few weeks ago, and then never play the rest of the game.

All while this offense is missing a deep threat to spread the field.

Saw trade ideas on a link on CBSSPORTS and here’s an idea for the Rams:

Rams (3-3)
Receive: WR K.J. Hamler, 2023 fifth-round pick
Trade: Tutu Atwell, 2023 third-round pick

Like several other teams, the Rams are in desperate need of another receiver. Los Angeles doesn't need a stud, but someone who can get open while opening things up for Matthew Stafford and Cooper Kupp. The Rams also don't have much to offer in the form of draft picks, which brings us to Hamler, a good receiver who could be had for less than some of his contemporaries.

The former second-round pick needs a fresh start the way a marathon runner needs water. Hamler has been targeted just 11 times this season and has become an afterthought in the Broncos offense. Denver may as well trade him for future equity while giving Hamler the opportunity to revive his career.

Hamler could be the spark the Rams offense needs. He has big-play ability, as evidenced by his 55-yard catch in Denver's Week 4 loss to the Raiders. The former Penn State standout made several big plays as a rookie, before injuries wiped out most of his sophomore season.

The Rams may be inclined to part ways with Atwell, a 2021 second-round pick who has caught just one pass in 13 regular-season games. In Atwell, the Broncos would be getting young, speedy wideout who can make an impact downfield and on special teams.

Don’t think that would be worth it.

Atwell may not have much value, but neither does Hamler at this point. Was injured most of last season ( just like Atwell ), and barely been used this season.

Don’t see how he is worth giving up a 3rd rounder for.

At best, it should be a swap of late round picks, like Hamler and a 7th for Atwell and a 6th.

Just swap Atwell for Hamler straight-up. Then play McCutcheon more and their problem for Stafford would be fixed. Then Jefferson can play after the bye and sign OBJ late in December when his injury is finally healed.

Told you that’s what McVay would do, Retro.

He has his favorites and has blinders in regards to said players.

A Belicheat he is not.

Speaking of OBJ. Recent reports indicate that the original prognosis for repair and healing of Beckham's knee in Late October and early November turned-out to be in error and his knee is nowhere close to what they were expecting. According to the medical staff responsible for his surgery and post-surgery evaluations, OBJ may not be ready to return until the holidays at the earliest and more realistically in January. This is why OBJ sort of dropped off the grid because he can't fuel FA offers until AFTER the knee is done healing.

We are in trouble already unless we can convince Cleveland to take Akers and Pleasant for Hunt and Johnson and a Fifth Rounder. Like the Panthers, the Browns want a 4th Rounder for Hunt.

They need to sit Westbrook. He has done little-to-nothing tonight.

Why is it the Rams struggle to find decent OL and the Chargers found a stud LT in the 6th round this year?

Just baffling

The Rams seem to have been bargain shopping exclusively for OL since Havenstein. The cost of trading cost controlled draft picks for established stars.

Robinson's efficiency numbers are fading, which is why he was losing more and more touches to Etienne this season. Maybe he bounces back with the Jets, but I wouldn't expect it.

Well, it seems Jefferson is back this week, so any chance of McCutcheon getting a chance now is likely gone (until the next injury).
