I have a hard time seeing the Rams shelling out big Jack to sign Duh when they haven't taken care of Donald yet

I wondered about this.. But it was gonna happen IF we don't sign Donald. How much cheaper can Suh be than Donald?

No way we can get both. And if we just signed Dom Easley, we only really need another DT type player.

Sounds like smoke and mirrors to me and then Suh ends up in Seattle. :L
I think it's a brilliant play to get them both at 'reduced rates'.

Doubt it happens but if they can convince each of them to take friendly deals 'respectively', than what a good play if they both should bite.

And the the back end of Peters, Talib and Joyner, I imagine those contracts can be heavily performanced based, and both could see the $$$ and we could be one bad ass sacking/INT machine of a defense!

I think this whole "get them at a reduced rate" is fantasy land. And I like it. :suds:

But where I think it could be genius is you get Suh at a lower cost (not sure how much lower) and then you get some really good draft picks back for AD. Not to mention you control where he goes / trade him.

Just try to do the Bellicheat approach, which is talk the talent into going ring chasing and sign a cheap contract. Hopefully they'll still have enough cap space to sign Donald to a long term deal. Just need to figure out the linebacker situation after that.
With both potentially Suh and Donald on the front line, Russell Wilson will probably be mortified this upcoming season.

Pretty sure Aaron Donald has been telling the FO what he wants for a few years now. Also pretty sure Suh small children so I'm doubting he takes a discount on his money.

No way you trade Donald if you get Suh.

Suh isn't getting any younger, and we've already seen what Donald can do and he hasn't even hit his prime.

Imagine having both....just need some one to play LB now.... and + a complementary RB for Gurley. Hell if AP could catch i'd say bring him in for 3rd downs..

Suh is all about the money, doubt he ends up in LA. Nice thought, but unlikely.

Current top 51 cap space is $35M. Would hate to use all of that on Suh and Donald's extension. This team needs LBs badly (and potentially a WR; Hurns was just cut).

When I look at the ILBs left a few stick out.

1) Brian Cushing -- familiar with Wade Phillips and at 31 does he still have anything left? Will he stay off PEDs?
2) Navarro Bowman -- at 29 is he still one of the better run stopping ILBs in the NFL?

Any chance what he's told the FO he wants is waaaay beyond what they should pay him? Say he's wanting a historic deal for 25M per.

I have to think that It's something extreme, otherwise, why hasn't the contract been negotiated yet?

If he's wanting 20M per, that's about his market and why wouldn't it be done already? I get the feeling Donald is being extremely selfish here and wanting QB type money which is ridiculous regardless of how good he is.
