Rams 'came up with a timeline' for Aaron Donald's contract extension

Begs the question, should the Rams have extended him last off eason and saved themselves on money over this off-eason extension which will undoubtedly cost more due to him being DPOY.

I wish he would take a team friendly deal to help the team continue to build a winner, but that won't happen or it would've been done last year.

I buy it if Tavon is willing to take a significant cut because the Rams would have an easier time trading him at a lower contract.

I' not buying they keep him, I buy them trying to rework the deal so they can try and trade him.

The only thing that worries me, are they willing to re-do his deal on a gamble since Sammy Watkins walked?

So, let's say they are looking to trade him but can't? If so, they may be willing to live with Mr. Gadget since he has a year in McVay's system and Watkins is gone.

What intrigues me, and maybe Snead, is the fact that there are just some people that need that carrot dangling in front of them to be successful. I have always felt this about Tavon, once he got that contract, he looked to avoid contact and step out of bounds early rather than do what he did in college and finagle a way to the end zone or YAC's he's not getting now...

The way i see the Rams want Vea, but if they can't get him, than they take a LB and later Settle.

I don't want Vea, I've watched him for awhile in the PAC now and he feasts off of inferior talent and size. Just don't see it translating to the next level....

Dude is strong talented with a high BMI! Yes in that order, but BMI is still in the order, so let's not discount the oversize of this young man as we all know, these things can get out of control real quick with a payday.
