Please no, not Isaiah Peed Himself and Brian Quick to drop a pass on our roster again this year. Surely there is some old guy in a rocker that can take Pead's position, and some Sears mannequin somewhere who is better at holding on to a pass than that kitten Quick.

Doubt they carry 3 QBs, Gilbert could go to the practice squad.

No Roberson?

Wouldn't be unheard of. Jeff Fisher has been known to carry 9 (sometimes 10) defensive linemen on the roster. With Gregg Williams' "rotation heavy" DL scheme, it wouldn't really come as much of a surprise.

Here's my stab at it. I agree with Shopson, that Garrett Gilbert likely hits the practice squad for the year. And much to BOSS's dismay (Lol)... I believe that Isaiah Pead will somehow make it through another year. Likely due to his special teams value.

  1. You get to leave off Stedman Bailey for at least four games so who do you keep on in his place?
  2. What are you guys seeing in Mike Person that I am not?
  3. I'm not sold on Michal Sam just yet with a guy like Matt Conrath getting cut before him. I'm not sure Matt doesn't make the squad and Michael moved to the PS. He probably clears waivers with his distraction issues.
  4. I need to see more of Daren Bates before I keep him aboard, he too could be a PS guy.
  5. Greg Reid will make the squad! He has high ST value.
  6. How do you both keep Marcus Roberson off your 53 man roster? Before injury, this guy was probably a late 1st or an early 2nd in last years draft and I heard he has recovered well from injury, just some cobwebs.
  7. Guys on the bubble Austin Davis, Chase Reynolds, Emory Blake, Justin Veltung & Sean Hooey

I do agree on Sam, Vita. I believe Conrath will be retained and Sam will either be cut or sent to the PS. Also, Hooey will make this team either outright or on the PS and so will Gilbert. Austin Davis will get cut outright.

FYI, Vita. I had Hammer's boys make a bro down emoticon. It has been added to the list on the advanced reply message box. It is classic!

1. I dunno. Maybe Roberson. Just to see if he can hack it.

2. With at least some experience, I see Mike Person as a depth move. Not much more.

3. Two words: "new blood". Conrath has spent 3 years languishing on the fringe of the roster with little fanfare. Acquiring 2 brand new DTs (Carrington and Donald) in the offseason is pretty much the writing on the wall. Plus, I see Michael Sam as much more of a ST contributor.

4. Darren Bates is a ST monster. I'd all but guarantee he earns a spot. Only other special-teamer I'd be more sure of is Ray Ray Armstrong. Not to mention we're pretty thin at LB to begin with.

5. Agreed. (obviously. Lol)

6. *See #5. Lol. But, seriously... it's pretty much just a hunch on my part. Not really sold on the guy. Between off-the-field issues (albeit minor ones) and injury history (neck injuries are no joke) I think we may end up passing.

7. I think Davis and Reynolds may snag a practice squad bid. But, for similar reasons as Conrath, I think either Blake or Veltung (or both) will be handed their walking papers.

Vita, I meant shouldn't, lol!
I thought maybe that was the case but still, honestly you really lost me bro.

I have no idea what you are trying to say?

I think it's good to see who we would cut on the 90 man roster as opposed to who we would keep on the 53 man roster.

I listed a lot of camp bodies however the list was all inclusive.

There's that and damn bro, it was freaking slightly past noon!

I only do that crazy early in the day drinking on NFL game days when the Rams are playing, not during a work day brudah!

Great feedback as always Caynine...

2. Mike Person is small for the type of offensive lineman Paul Boudreau likes, so he must be special. Travis Bond is more of the mold and has more experience. Hearing nothing, it's hard for me to select him over another and wondered why both you and TEB did?

6. I hope you are wrong, and so do you if we keep him #53 on the roster and he is special.

7. That's just a list of my bubble guys do you have any others?

With Barksdale, Joseph, Barnes, Wells, or Jones, Saffold, and Robinson, our O-line has gotten very big. Person is smallish compared to the above guys so I think he'll end up on the practice squad. S. Hooey is monstrosity and I suspect he may make the active roster. Other than that, everyone else will go as you've listed.
