Rambo starting, in my opinion, can not be worse than last year. I think he will add speed and another element that will be a huge lift.
So why wasn't he selected over Thomas? Is Thomas smarter? Is Thomas a better player? At the time they knew Thomas was a SS so why pass on the true FS prospect from an SEC school? Where did you get that quote warpath? Just curious.
Plus a 3rd string OLB and RB gets precedence over a possible starting FS. That is just crazy. What a huge gamble. I am so glad he was there. Did the off field problems really drop Rambo 3 rounds?
You make it sound like the Redskins should of passed on Safeties in this draft b/c they interviewed other veteran FA safeties.
I don't see a problem either skinsdad. But you have to admit when you are lucky.
Rambo was projected a late 3rd to 4th round pick with the off-field issues. If Rambo was clean he is a 2nd rounder. You are actually going to tell me that the Skins are not lucky Rambo was there in the 6th?
And anyone who watched Thomas play, knew he was more ideal as a SS before we ever drafted him. He played in the box the majority of the time in college.
That also filled a big need because Meriweather is coming off major knee surgery. And Thomas can play both positions.
