Ya FlaRaider, the O is young, and no real run game to help out.. Its was those bursts by Murray that opened it up just a little for Carr to make some plays.. Now if we could run like that all game long?? We would be fighting with KC and the Donks for the AFC West, even with a rookie QB!! The D is good enough to play with any O!! They just need help from the O..

We are just a passing team right now, so all the teams we play are just bull rushing Carr all game long,, Playing deep zones and taking away the pass.. After a while the OL gets leaky, just like we are starting to see.. We need to RUN Murray more when we play KC!! Cuz KC has a beast pass rush!! If we can't RUN?? KC will send the house on Carr play after play!! We are a RUN game away from being a good team..

The Pats are smoking the Colts at the moment, and the reason why is?? Luck has zero run game!! And the Pats are playing the pass!! Meanwhile, Brady is having an off game, but his RB has like 25 carries for 140 yards and counting plus 3 TDs!! The point in all this is?? You need to be able to run the ball!! Or you will lose 9 out of 10 times!! Same thing happened to the Donks today!! No run game and attack PM, while Tre Mason was beasting and opening the book for them!! The game is changing yet again!! The players coming into the NFL now days are well schooled in passing attacks!! Again the team that RUNS the ball the best and plays great D will win the SB!! Now don't get me wrong!! You need great QBs as well.. But those QBs need a run game now days, or you lose most of the time..

We really don't blitz nearly as much as we did last year- we have enough guys now with Allen Bailey stepping it up now where an improved secondary can just sit back and cover- so even if the O-line blocks Hali, Poe, Houston and Bailey, the coverage will eventually induce a poor throw or sack anyway. It's a much more sound defense top to bottom- and it shows in big games unlike last year. If the Raiders can't run, I wouldn't be shocked to see the Chiefs be content to rush 3 or 4 all game.

If the Raiders want to beat KC, their RB's are going to need to play their best game of the year, most likely, so far against a Chiefs D that likes to play nickel, and it shows with a YPCA over 4.5 coming into this week (Those injuries to our ILB's at the beginning of the year still sting!). Oddly enough, the same Run D has not given up a Rushing TD or a run play over 30 yards all year. Asking Derek Carr to pass on the #1 pass D however is... less than inviting for the reasons you outlined.

Dude KC looks like the best team in the NFL right now.. You guys have a monster pass rush, and the BEST run game in the NFL!! And i agree you don't have to blitz all the time, that pass rush is coming from the DL!!
This will be Carr's biggest test yet!! As well as our Ds.. Its no secret what you guys are going to do.. RUN Charles all day long!! Play action with smith!! That screen game Reid uses killed us last year!! Let's see if we learned anything from our last meeting.. We have more speed on D this year, and Mack is a beast run stopper!! But We are facing IMO the best team in the NFL.. So it won't be easy for us..
