We won't have to. He will find a new way to get himself suspended for at least 1 of the games. Also, he has yet to prove he is the same player without a Justin Smith.

They said there is a good chance that he plays week 1 as the league is waiting for the courts to decide before his punishment is handed down. So he could play clear up till his court date I think in October. That to me seems crazy.

Yeah really how I see it is Aldon might get a few games in as he waits the decision, but after that he gone!

Yeah he's going to get in a few gsm prob before he's suspended for at least 8 gms I would assume. There is a good chance that guy could wreak some havoc while he's in there though. Guy is a amazing talent and you hope going forward once the suspension is initiated,that he gets help he needs from team,family and his own personal " wake up call ", to get his life in order in future. He is definitely a very talented tough sob no doubt. Hope he pulls through.

He is already on his 3rd or 4th chance. I don't think this guy is going to change. I am also not sold on his talent but being opposite of Khalil Mack should help.

True. Drafted in 2011 and had pro bowl yr in 2012 and then pretty much pain in ass since then. Your right though, odds are not in his favor and really doubt a Del Rio coached team is going to be a great influence on him either. Head scratcher signing to say the least.Be a little worried about guy ballistic in locker room as well

I look at Aldon Smith and just think that Von could have just as easily gone that way. So glad that Von cleaned up his life making it to where it looks like he is going to have a monster season and we can lock him up long term not worrying if he will be suspended for a year or not.

He deserves it - and he also deserves to sign a contract that is voided under certain misdeeds.
