AFC
bills should win east but jets/phins right behind them
chiefs got chargers right behind them
ravens got bengals right behind them
titans get a pass
pats/bengals on outside looking in
NFC
eagles with lead but boys/giants might have something to say about it
vikes own the north for now
sea looking good but will the niners catch them
bucs lead south for this week yikes what a bad division
falcons/commanders/rams/saints/packers/cards/bears all still in the hunt for now

Seattle has the Niners once and the Rams 2x's... They will need to go 2-1 in those games with one of the wins over the Niners to have a shot at winning the West imo... They're currently 2-1 in division including a sweep of the Cardinals...

Thank goodness the Chiefs have the tie breaker over the Chargers for now. Already beat 'em once. They play again the weekend after next. Already got the tickets for the game...

Ravens remaining schedule: Carolina, Jacksonville, Denver, ATL, 2x Pitt, Cleveland, Cinci. Definitely looks like a team that could win 7 of their last 8 or something similar so they are in a good spot to maybe get the #1 seed. Bills have the important tiebreakers but they're also in the most competitive division. Chiefs I think are still in the mix for the 1 seed but they'll need everyone else to beat each other up.

I suspect the Eagles are going something like 15-2. Vikings aren't winning out so I think Philly is going to be the #1 seed. I feel like the big story is whether or not the Falcons can knock Tampa out of the playoffs.

At this point i'm just happy the Seahawks are even in playoff contention. They've got an extremely promising young bunch of guys who are only going to profit from this experience. Even if they get a Wildcard spot and get knocked out in the first round, it would still be a heck of a lot better than I expected them to be at the start of the season.

That being said, with the way they are playing right now, I honestly wouldn't be too surprised if they made it to the NFC championship game.

Now that my Vikes are currently in the #2 spot, I all of a sudden have strong feeling against the idea that the 2nd seed doesnt get a bye.

I doubt we finish that high when all is said and done. But damn if we arent going to have the easiest path to the playoff from here on out in the league. We could go 2-7 down the stretch here and we still win division.

Go look at the Pack's schedule. No chance of them going 6-2 down the stretch. I'm more scared of the Bears. But they have 3 tough games left of the Eagles, Bills and Jets. So them going 6-2 seems highly unlikely as well.

2-7. That's a lot of wiggle room.

Eagles and Vikings probably only need to win 2-3 more games to get in playoffs... Dallas, NYG and Seattle probably only need to win 4 more games... none of them have to be 500 in 2nd half to ensure they make it in playoffs.

That is how bad the NFC (except the East) is this year.

Would be a really tough break for whoever gets the 3 seed

The weird thing tho is - in large part due to the NFC East dominance to date - the NFC is actually 1 game better over the AFC in combined records. I think what still makes the AFC considered the stronger conference is they have 9 teams over .500, whereas the NFC only has 6. The AFC strikes me as a more balanced conference overall at this juncture.

Will be interesting to watch Cle with Watson. If you give up that much to trade for a guy and also pay him that much I think he should be expected to get them in the playoffs this year since they are only a couple games out. Will he? That could be a different story
