Nothing would be more "Jet like" than a winning streak to take them from 3-11 to 6-11
Yeah, they'd be all "look at how close we are! Let's give Rodgers another 3 years!"

The Raiders and Jags play each other in Vegas, so one of them will win another game, or a tie would probably be more fitting. I'm guessing the loser will get the #1 pick as the Giants will probably have the more difficult schedule. So I'm guessing the Jags are going to get the #1 pick.

I'm wondering if the Jags go for a QB. They'll clearly have their pick. But most mocks have them taking Travis Hunter, which assumes they haven't given up on Lawrence.

With what team might Lawrence make a difference?

I'd take him in Seatown...

I highly doubt the Jags go for a QB, I wouldn’t give up on Lawrence, he’s not terrible, just hasn’t been nearly as good as expected. Plus this draft doesn’t have obvious strong QBs.

The Jags should take the best OT. I think drafting QB would be a desperate clown move.

I agree, taking a QB wouldn't be an intelligent move after giving Lawrence that contract. If they do end up with the 1st pick and I was making the decisions, I'd trade it to get as many picks this year as I could. All you need is 1 desperate trade partner and you could potentially end up with a nice haul. It seems there are other teams drafting in the top 5 or so that are in desperate need of a QB, so trade out and fill more than 1 position of need.

Assuming that there is an elite OT available. Taking an average OT at the top of the draft is a move they've done in the past and its backfired.

this should be a given among knowledgeable football fans. No?

I'll say it another way, the jags committed to paying their QB 55M per, they should be able to draft a great football player that does not play QB. They need help everywhere.

He certainly isn't worth it and Jerry is senile soooo..
I heard an interesting sports radio conversation I think spearheaded by Joe Buck's comments last Monday. The discussion was the LEAGUES NFL MVP..as in most topical yearly. That MVP was argued with regards to Jerry Jones.

made me sick BUT it did make me think of folks like iggloo.

lol

I know that Walterfootball right now doesnt have an OT going until pick 12 which is a bad sign for a team like the Jags if they already have a QB but dont have a great oline. Obviously that stuff changes a ton but with as bad as the Jags are then you could also make a good argument for them to just trade down.

Travis Hunter is such an unusual blue chip prospect that I suspect they are going to have a hard time not taking him, though.
