He got the same thing Shuler got which was three years but he got a lot more playing time than Shuler.
The kid was in a tough position from the beginning. The team gave up so much to get him that the press was all over his every move. The teams success in his rookie year just increased the attention. The injury, his relationship with Shanahan and his own penchant for talking too much ramped up the attention even more. We live in a society now that loves to build us up only to tear us down. Sports is littered with these type of people.
Just my opinion but at this point I think it would be better for Robert and the Redskins to part ways. I hope he goes on to have a 10-12 year career which Shuler never got due to injury and ineffectiveness.
That's how I felt all along too. Hell I'm still questioning if he ever had a concussion, seemed like a pretty convenient way to demote him. Only in Washington does a player pass, then fail the test.I voted No, but meant Yes. I think they hold him, see how QB injuries play out during the year and maybe some team comes calling in a trade. He's gone at some point though
I'm still not sure which brings more satisfaction to the general public.......a great success story, or, a great fall. Sad.
perhaps sitting and learning from the bench could be just the medicine he needs to get working again
Didn't do a damn thing for him last year. The only thing that's changed this year from last year is. Now he waits longer periods of time before he says stupid ass shit.
There is a huge difference between this year and all previous years since 2012. In those years he was the anointed starter and for many savior of this franchise. It is extremely likely that this demotion, and make no mistake that is exactly what it is, will be tonic for an ego that has been hyper-inflated from the moment he was drafted.
Nope......tonic used as a synonym for cure.
