Question for the Jason Peter radio listeners

Nick's contract expired on august 1st. If there was a non compete in his former contract then he wouldn't have been able to cohost the show on the ticket for those couple of days.

got it...i was thinking the non compete would only refer to "permanent" jobs.

The spread was very entertaining. I thought Jeff and Jason had chemistry. And it wasn't real husker bashing back then. Jason did a very good job of explaining the differences between the glory days and today

He wasn't bashing Nebraska and the coaches any more than some fans do. The difference is the he actually has personal experience why he doesn't like certain players and coaches and was expressing his feelings. The sunshine pumpers are just overly sensitive.

As for the players, he is tired of the all the talking about what they are going to do without them actually doing it. The lack of leadership by anyone on the team. The fact that Taylor does not embrace that role. He did think that Compton is embracing that role this year.

As for the coaches, he gave a speech to the team at the beginning of the season in either Bo's first or second year and it was a speech like only a Peter brother can give. Well apparently is was a little too violent for the coaches and they don't want him around. He also hates the inexperience that Bo keeps hiring as his assistants. He is encouraged by the new D line coach but will believe it when he sees it.

Also apparently in that meeting where he gave that speech there was a player or 2 that actually fell asleep during it. One of the things he talked about was they need to be more violent and physical. You have to have the mentality that if you are at a movie theatre and the guy next to you takes the arm rest then you rip off the arm rest and beat him with it. Now apparently this coaching staff took that literally and thought Jason was promoting random acts if violence. So they don't want him talking to the players anymore. Jason said that part of the speech was mainly directed and Suh at the time. I would say that Suh may have taken that a little to literal lately.

Yeah he has said all of that over that last couple weeks being on the air at various times. But that isn't the entire show. Sharp is god awful and the rest of it is just as bad. I wanted to wait until the season started in hopes of it being interesting but I just can't tale it. Maybe I will go back once the season actually starts but it will be on a short leash!!!!!

i haven't been listening because i have been out of town, but did anyone hear bahe on 93.7? i personally don't like bogus but i would like nick to have another show i can listen to. not sure if they already announced who will be cohosting with bogus or not, but i do know that the Ticket guys were seriously considering nick
