To be fair, you don't want Erskine and Schutlz on the same line. Too much slow in one pair. It does look odd though after you get past Hamrlik-Wideman.

Just pair Erskine/Wideman and Schultz/Hamrlik then. Don't like it one bit.

They'll be fine. Those are all competent defenseman and he's just pairing strengths with weaknesses. It's November. This is the time to try out some different combos. I just hope (injuries aside) they fall into some regular/consistent lines late in the season. Too many line changes late in the year the last few years.

I know, doesn't mean I have to like the experiment. I also don't like moving Carlson away from Alzner unless one is hurt. Although that could be why they are doing it, incase one does get injured.
