Hey now, I posted on how Id like to see Staff restructured and extended. Even closeminded jerk faces, such as myself, can change.

Look at Pettigrew. He changed his number.

Now that fridge box, it's not gonna change. All sales are final, during the winter months anyway. Im just trying to survive man. Sorry about the lack of kerosene. I would throw in a couple cases of SterNo, but I drank all the backstock.

Not sure what surprised me more, you switching to hoping for a Suh long term deal, or you going from the mindset of no RB is worthy of a 1st rounder these days(a mindset I also had) to "Hell Yeah, Team Coleman!"? Id heard of him, there was this one guy that kept bringing him. Then he left the boards at Christmas time. Not sure what happened to him.

As a shortsighted, Suh at any cost kinda guy, I liked the switch you made there. The Runningback one, Im trying to deal with that switch. I'll come around on Tevin too, just gonna take a minute. Wait.....

yeah.... uuhhmmm, NO on that remark... Not at ANY cost, in my book. If Mayhew tag's him I'll be pissed and throwing real heavy handled Beer Mugs.... EVERYWHERE... I want Suh to remain a Lion but not at tag + that 9.7M restructure money still owed to him.

I think the 7 yr 122.5M contract is more than fair enough.

I'll wait for Dr. Evil-er to come in sometime tonight and go through the numbers and see what his thoughts are on a contract like that. I don't nor will never have his expertise at NFL cap space, contracts, MLS minimum contracts...etc

Not you switching to at any cost. Im an at any cost. Anf you switched to at a higher cost than you had been at cost. And as an at any cost guy, I like other guys changing their cost to a higher cost. Even if they don't change to at any cost, cuz I know it's not sensical to do that. I take what I can get in this world.

Where you at Kreton? Hows the ankle?

My mind never changed. Really good runningbacks have always been worthy of first round consideration. Yep, its a passing league but how do you win certain games if you cant run? I'd perfer not to depend on serviceable RBs and add a feature back.

Blue,

I think Gordon is legit. He has a great combination of things that should translate well to the NFL. He knows how to finish and find the end-zone- something our guys lack. Plus, under the right coaching, these guys get better. We need a guy that is a top talent at that spot, not a back-up.

I honestly wouldn't be upset if Gordon was the choice. He does possess many qualities that should translate very well to the NFL. I see his upper talent level with vision, footwork, patience, hands, plant and cut-back abilities. Maybe it's my biased outlook towards him that's derailing me from liking his PRO-Potential. I not convinced he's that RB who can power through for a 1st down with 3rd and 3 or less. I see more finesse than power from him but that's just me. I may very well be totally wrong with how I view him tho. I'd take David Johnson in the 3rd or 4th before Gordon in the 1st, JMO.

Im looking for the RB that can do what Bell cant. Even in space, Bell lacks that ability to really threaten a defense. He will break tackles but he aint running past anyone. He's really not a bad player but I know we definitely need an upgrade there. Gordon has a some size to him too: 6'1 210 I believe. Im sure he can put on 10 pounds also.

If Gordon and Coleman run high 4.3s or low 4.4s, look for them to be one of the draft day stories.

I see what you're saying regarding Gordon. He has that elusive/homerun ability. AGREED there

I just look at Gordon more in line of a taller version of Spiller/Vereen but not as quick of cut-back ability. I'm not buying Gordon's alleged 6'1 210, not yet.. He's muscular and seems to have the body type of Jamal Charles. Now, if Gordon had Charles' ability running inside and hands like his, it'd be a done deal. They do both have similar postures when running. Maybe I need to go back and look at a few games.

When I look at Coleman, I see the same posture/running style as AP or DeMarco...upright in space but the ability to lower his bottom half when in short yardage situations and yet, he still possesses that homerun ability also (I don't see Gordon like that in short yardage). Coleman, in my eyes, is a 3 down back immediately, whereas Gordon is more flash and flare 2 down, at the moment. Both are probably questionable at pass-pro on 3rd and long. Coleman has speed/power. Gordon speed finesse

I'm looking for that RB who has both Bush's homerun ability (speed) and Bells (power) short yardage ability. I see that in Coleman and David Johnson... and Johnson has a huge advantage over both Coleman and Gordon receiving out of the backfield and Pass-pro on 3rd and long.

Is Johnson the one who is supposed to be a remarkably polished receiving back?

If so he'd seem to be a great fit in our offense. A big back that can catch, ala Bell for the Stillers, would be great, imo...

yes, tPaul... He's not as tall as advertised, was listed at 6'2 229, but came in around 6' 1/2" and 214 lbs...

Don't quote me on this exactly, but I believe he had under 70 yds rushing and 210 yds receiving vs Iowa this (he played for Northern Iowa). Johnson DOESN'T have the speed of Gordon or Coleman from what I saw. He does have that upright style of running though. That can be a detriment at times when entering LOS/point of attack, but not so much out in space.

Maybe I just need to reassess Gordon, is my problem. I must be missing something there. I agree that Gordon has the speed, not sure Coleman speed, elusiveness.

Coleman is definitely my top choice. If I'm not mistaking though, I think Gordon is the receiver of the two though. Rumors are he's a Lions fan also. Lol.

Duke Johnson from Miami is similar to McCoy with his run style and recieving. I like him but hes better as a 3rd down back.

Coleman is my top choice also.. Don't get me wrong, Lionstop1, I'm not condemning Gordon by any means. They're both capable of the home-run strike at anytime out in space.

Agreed with Duke Johnson... but I think Riddick has the same qualities as Duke Johnson, maybe not the same speed but both capable runners/receivers..

Oh, and I think Gordon is every bit of 210 lbs. Have you seen how ripped up he is? Im about 6'0, 202 and I have nowhere near the muscle mass he has.

if Gordon isn't 210 right now, then he'll probably be that come combine time. The 6'1" on him, nah. 5'11" and 200 right at this moment I'll buy.

It's why I said his body type reminds me of Jamal Charles, ripped, cut to the max
