Down to 3 on the roster. I wonder what the plan is with BJ. If we practice squad him, SF might swipe him. If that happens, Pete is comfortable going with 2 QBs.

Not a huge surprise that Pryor was cut. Yeah, they traded a 7th round pick to get him, but you can get a 7th round pick back in another trade easier than you can get an early round pick. He ran the ball pretty well, but was just too inconsistent throwing it.

I had thought that Pyror would make an interesting developmental prospect, but with his erratic accuracy and a solid #2 already on the bench in Tarvaris Jackson, it's not too surprising that the Seahawks cut Pryor.

With Russell Wilson being only 25, it's not like the Seahawks need to groom someone to be his eventual replacement or anything. The Seahawks have a lot of guys at other positions more deserving of a roster spot than Pryor, given the Seahawks QB situation it makes sense to just hold on to 2 QBs.

Pryor needs to use that athleticism to become a receiver... I think Pete had a thought of doing that but Pryor just didn't want it... I don't think he sucks as a qb there is something there BUT man with his speed and size he needs to switch or his NFL career might be fading into the night...

Who knows if he can catch though? Pete was pretty adamant that he was here to try out for QB only. If Pete had any kind of other ideas, he would have forced some reps at other positions on him.

Problem with that is that some guys just don't have the skill set required to be a WR. Perhaps Pryor would fall into this category. It's harder to convert a QB to WR than it seems. I don't believe there are many players in the NFL who have managed to successfully make that conversion.

Pryor may have the size and speed to be a WR, but it takes more than just size and speed. He also has to be able to run routes, catch the ball, get off the line of scrimmage, etc. There are a lot of reasons why that conversion may not work.

Makes me wonder though if Pryor just didn't want to make the transition ... Possible Pete did throw some reps at him and maybe it wasn't there.. Or maybe Pryor is stubborn and wants to be a qb period... If he fee's that way I don't blame the man for trying ... But like you guy's said maybe he just isn't good at being a receiver..

I mean really people, was there every any doubt? some of you i believe just put way to much value on his 2 long runs. He is a QB NOT A RB! I knew he was a goner. He didn't have a bad game in the 4th preseason game but BJ Daniels had a better game. Pryor's other 3 games were down right awful 10-22 0 TD 2 INT's 147 yards. He finished 21-39 1 TD 2 INT's 281 yards because of the 11-17 1 TD 0 INT 147 of the last game. Lets not forget who he was playing against in the last game to put up ok numbers. 4th and 5th string players that most likely played their last game in the NFL.

Never any doubt.

He already showed he wasn't very good at the qb position before he even came here that's why the signing was a surprise to allot of people ... indication was Pete would use him in a different position...

Pryor has to realize he's not an NFL QB, so if he can't catch then move to the defensive back field. If he's to stubborn to try then he'll be out of the league in 3 yrs.
