Hobs gives better motivational speeches than Dalton.

Parts I liked about that article:

The 6-5, 209-pound Kumerow is one of the more intriguing free agents the Bengals are going to view after he helped Whitewater to the past two Division III national titles. He missed four games last season with an ankle injury, but still finished with 36 touchdowns and 16.8 yards per his 158 catches in three seasons after he transferred from Illinois.

....and the other guy is a big possession receiver that can grow to 235 pounds, take hits, and get it done on third down.” (speaking of Kumerow)

The Bengals liked Kumerow’s height complementing 4.5 40-yard speed.

I would try to turn Pryor into a WR or TE. He is not an NFL QB, same with Braxton Miller. They need to switch positions to maybe make it in the pros.

does he have good catching hands? otherwise he's just an emergency option.

would be fun to have him in for some plays though. Dalton throws to Sanu who throws to Green, next play, Dalton throws to Pryor, who fakes, and scrambles for 40. of course, with Lewis as coach it would be broadcast to the other team who reads the play and recovers the fumble for a TD.

Yes let's take a guy who has never played a position other than QB in his entire career and chang his position.

Why not? It isn't like the guy can play f'n QB in this league. At least if he changed positions, in a few years he might have a chance to contribute to an NFL roster.

I was hoping to move him to safety. We could pair him with Nate Clements, Terrence Newman, Leon Hall, and any of the other guys we're moving to safety this year.

Julian Edelman's a converted college QB and now arguably the best slot receiver in football. Pyror should have converted to WR his first year in the league. He's still young enough to give it a chance now. I'd say it's his best shot at a productive NFL career and unlike Tim Tebow I don't think he's his own industry outside of sports

I have no issues with him not wanting to swich. For every Edelman there are 100 guys like him who don't make it.

They also told Edelman when they drafted him they were using him as WR, he didn't bounce around the league for a few years first.

I'd agree it's a long shot. But two things he has going for him...

- by all reports he has a great work ethic

- he ran in the 4.3's at his proday at 6'4 235 lbs

If Andy Reid can't turn you into an NFL QB it's probably hopeless at that position. WR is worth a shot unless they're going to use him as a wildcat QB or for gadget plays

They also told Edelman when they drafted him they were using him as WR, he didn't bounce around the league for a few years first.

I mentioned earlier I thought Pryor should have converted as a rookie. But he's only 25 even though he's been in the league awhile

From the things I've heard Pryor has worked on his mechanics a lot which should help. He also didn't really have much of a chance in KC tbh

is Pryor allowed to be on the PS?

we could continue to work him into the slot receiver rotation

if one of our QBs gets hurt; however, he's a QB until the situation is resolved.
