I'm going to go out on a limb and speculate that the OP might be motivated by something other than genuine sportsmanship here. For example, is it mere coincidence that the Panthers play at NO this week, against a team that the Seahawks held to only 7-points last night in Seattle?

I think your getting paranoid about Seahawks fans. Your reasoning about his motivation is iffy at best.

I wasn't thinking about that, actually. I do a lot of scoreboard watching as a watch football games and it seemed to me that the Panthers had been one of the most consistent scoring defenses of recent weeks; so I looked up the Panthers schedule/results to see if it was true. It turns out that the Panthers defense scoring defense had been even more impressive than I thought.

Threads like this make me nervous. We've been doing ok, but giving up some deep balls the last couple of weeks. Some members of our secondary are suspect - it's basically a collection of veterans FA's and younger guys who would be 'depth' on other teams. O has helped out by running well, and piling up ToP.

Regardless of the motivation for this thread, Carolina obviously has an outstanding defense. I will be very surprised, however, if that unit is able to hold NO's offense in NO anywhere near the mere seven points that Seattle allowed them in Seattle. That's not really going out on a limb or using "iffy reasoning", is it?

Remember early in the year when the Hawks caught shit from people for only beating Carolina at their place by 5 points? I do.

On defense their 3rd down conversion is a respectable 32.5%, they are plus 10 in turnover ratio and most importantly they give up TDs only 30.7% of the time when opponents reach the red zone. Second place in this stat is 37% for the Ravens.

The panthers front 7 may be the best in football. They can absolutely dominate the game. They are fun to watch

2005 nfc championship was Seahawks vs Panthers at the Clink

Could we have another Seahawks-Panthers nfc championship this year at the Clink?

If it does happen it should be a very good game. Week 1 was very sloppy...both teams have gotten a lot better since then. Crazy how the Panthers have gone from this dark horse wild card to a potential #2 seed. I bet nobody remembers that 1-3 start anymore
