i am not sensitive. just seems like you guys are really trying to find something wrong which is not. pronger is in great shape and is durable. i am just saying that i would rather have him at 5 mil when he is 42 than having martin now at the same price. i think pronger at 42 would still be a second pairing type of guy. maybe even better.

he was 35 this year and put up numbers similar to his career best. on a team who just got into the playoffs on the last day and a team that went through 7 goalies and played 5.

7 years is a long time for you to speculate on how this will end up. Do you have a crystal ball with all the answers. All anyone has said is it could turn out bad now take the homer glasses off and realize it COULD turn out bad. No one has attacked anything about the Flyers. Is this going to be the norm when the Flyers are mentioned in a thread their fanbase gets all defensive?

how am i mad? based on his career numbers which have not declined and the fact he can skate 30 minutes a night in the playoffs tells me he is in great shape. he reminds me of neidermeyer and lidstrom. being number 1 defensemen in their 40s. am i saying nothing can go wrong? no. although i do not get the point of the thread? what if crosby is injured? same thing except you do not have the cap hit. this was discussed last year when he was signed. no idea why people are talking about it now.

guys seriously let it go. scott, he was just asking (no pun there...) about the status of it, whether it was 35+ or not, and EL they have an awesome player for a low cap hit, it's not a bad thing.

Maybe, just maybe some of us were not around for the discussion last year and assumed he had an under 35 contract. In any event this is a place to talk hockey so why would this topic not be relevant? It is the offseason so why wouldnt someone bring something like this up now?

I completely agree, he is a steal right now but could kill them later is all I was saying. It is certainly a gamble with a high reward.

Actually if "something happens" we are not on the hook. We would then just put Pronger on LTIR and his caphit doesnt effect us. Its only if he decides to retire. Besides the Flyers could always fight this seeing how Pronger signed when he was 34.

You guys just worry about how you're going to QB the powerplay and make up for those valuable points that just went to Ottawa. Paul Martin at 5mil has never put up those types of numbers.

Here we go again...A bit late to the party, but that is no reason not to start this thing back up.

Can any of the Flyer fans on here that are getting defensive please point out the attack on the Flyers? I can look one post up to see an attack on the Pens but that is common from hXc not surprising. But what exactly is the reason for being defensive?

An attack? LOL dude you have to be the most sensitive individual in the entire world. What exactly have I said now that is an attack? PLEASE EXPLAIN.

Keep dragging me into your little whiney posts. I've already spoke with a mod and even he believes you're over-sensitive. This is a messageboard for Hockey if you dont like players being critiqued then maybe this just isnt for you.

UNBELIEVABLE.

What the hell do the Pens have to do with Pronger? Why even bring them up? This thread is about Pronger's deal. You guys talk shit about other teams in your little room then run out here when a Flyers thread comes up and get all defensive and bring up shit that isnt even pertanant.

Again i'll repeat one more time for the over-sensitive. WHERE IS THE PERSONAL ATTACK?
