They're playing defense! Even Biedrins is rotating properly to cut off baselines. Nothing against Monta but there are no selfish players on this team.

Each of the four rookies has contributed in some way and Carl Landry is playing out of his mind.

Bogut is supposedly healing up, too which should help interior defense even better. They are missing a post scorer, especially in close games.

Steph Curry and Klay found their shooting stroke, too

Not getting ahead of ourselves but this has been a nice surprise, especially with Bogut out

How pitiful of an org do you need to be to ask...

When was the last time the W's started the year at 7-5 or better?

And legitimately be excited about it?

I know his sounds troll-ish, but seriously...

Well yeah they've sucked like hell lately. Anyone know the answer?

By the way I'm not a fan really, I'm still more of a Bulls fan but I can feel the same transference happening with them that happened with the Giants for me, except that happened a long time ago because I like baseball a lot more.

Starting off 7-5 isn't surprising, They've done it before. The west has been stacked with good teams, it's tough to make the playoffs, even during good years.

They've always had a fun team to watch if you like scoring.

The future is bright with this ownership group, they seem dedicated to winning (don't get me started about Cohan..)
The new era of Waariors ball will be complete once we get them back to SF.

Cam, Yoshi, Robo are big fans, I've seen them on the W's board? They might know the answer (edit: started off 7-4 in 2010)

I dunno, the "we believe" team was as fun as it gets.

Blame sh*tty management and disinterested ownership. The fans always support this team.

Agreed. I went to game 4 I think of that team's playoff series vs Dallas, never been at a NBA basketball game with more passionate, fun fan support. The W's got a national rep that year (cf Bill Simmons) for best fans in the NBA

It's a hard team not to like right now. Young, good players. Nice rookie play (Ezeli, Barnes), everyone on the team is young. When Bogut comes back they should make the playoffs even in a stacked West right?

Lakers, Clips, Spurs, Grizzlies, Thunder, Mavs are probably locks, then you have a few teams that can make the last 2 slots: W's, Rockets, Blazers, Nuggets, Jazz

wow game 4? My buddy who had season tix says that's that series was the loudest he's ever heard the oracle.

With Bogut, it depends if they can integrate him into the system without disrupting the nice flow the current squad has - Barnes and Landry slashing and Curry Thompson spotting up.

Playoff hopes rest precariously on two tender ankles.

I've been very impressed with how composed Harrison Barnes has been. He knows what he's doing out there.

Have to respectfully disagree, speaking as someone who was at the Cow Palace in 1977 watching game 3 of the NBA championship. Also, the next year the Ws had the best record in the NBA.

But yeah, We Believe was pretty fun.

Not if they continue to be the worst ball handling team in the Association.

I've been pleasantly surprised with the rookie play. Even Green has looked very solid in the last two games.

I've been even happier with the defense. If the solid defense continues, the team has a chance to have a very successful year. (and by successful, I mean fighting for the 8th seed while the 1st and 2nd year players gain experience)

Really, tz?

You were what? 10? You are going to compare the 35 year old memory of 10 year old ears to an adults memory from about 5 years ago?

and we use that term loosely around here

I only really began following the Warriors with run TMC, sarunis, rod Higgins, terry teagle and co.

Although, celebrating a championship in my neighborhood would have been awesome. Grew up near the cow palace. Still have family that live on rio verde, with a view on the cow palace parking lot.

We have done a hell of a job group-jinxing the Warriors. If they lose tonight to Minnesota at home, I will be convinced this jinx thing is real. ;)

FTR, I was 9...but I listened to just about every game that year on the radio (Bill King was THE BEST). And I loved the We Believe season, but for me those late 70s W's teams were the best.

As long as they are among the worst teams in the NBA in turnovers, FT shooting, and 3 pt shooting, they can lose to anybody.

This team is a real quandry. Still, some very nice bright spots during a slow Hot Stove month.

not bad, huh?

Been a looong time that could remember them starting out this fast.

The rookies look really good. Don't know if it's the Jerry West effect but their draft choices have been excellent lately.
