Pretty sure the UK wrestling scene is about to die

It’s easier to post the Reddit link instead of every accusation but apparently a gigantic bombshell dropped earlier today where countless UK wrestlers(and some US) are being accused of massive sexual assault/abuse. Even some wrestling promoters and hire-up people like Dave Lagana and Jim Cornette are being accused.

And this isn’t just some small indy people, this is people who work for NXT UK, AEW, ROH, TNA, NWA, just to name some bigger ones.

If hypothetically the NWA were to dissolve and everyone there was a free agent Aldis gets signed by a major promotion immediately. I'm a huge Eli Drake fan too. Eddie Kingston might be the best promo in wrestling.

He was also the easiest of all the guys to cut since 205 Live is hardly ever watched anyways.

If hypothetically the NWA were to dissolve and everyone there was a free agent Aldis gets signed by a major promotion immediately. I'm a huge Eli Drake fan too. Eddie Kingston might be the best promo in wrestling.

I have seen Marty Scurll’s name appear on a couple of lists on Twitter, but I can’t actually find any accusations against him yet. Essentially people are just going off these past alleged stories of him sleeping with some underage girls but nothing is concrete.

My gut says Drake would go to AEW. There was an interview with him a couple weeks back that said he came extremely close to signing there last year. Had even picked out his music and sent it to them, but there was some kind of hiccup at the last minute so the deal didn't work out. Didn't sound like it was a bad blood issue over it either, just a timing thing.

But in the UK, age of consent is 16 and many teens are considered adults (they can move out and attend university, other things) so I remember people saying it wasn't uncommon (though somewhat frowned upon) to see 16, 17 year olds dating people in their 20s. But back then when I read, it was just as unclear then as what I've seen now. Nothing concrete, just random people in comments or Twitter with the same vague details.

Ah. I kept reading his name associated with this but wasn't sure of the context. I try to give all parties (both accuser and accused) the benefit of the doubt until there's concrete evidence. This sounds vauge.

I hadn't read this but it makes sense. "Charisma" is a wrestling buzzword but Drake has it. He could be a star in the midcard of a big company.
