He was all puffed out like a tom when we spotted it, I got off a shot and when we walked over there, the head matched a male turkey.

He was about the size of a chicken, no beard or spurs to speak of.. but that head was blue with red on it just like a tom, and it was previously fanned.


then we go to clean it, and it's full of eggs??

haha, I did some research on it, and apparently some hens will fan, and have heads that look a little red.

I don't know how we aren't spose to shoot them though.. guess i'll have to look harder for a beard first
