Pretty big game today….

While I know WVU has punched their ticket for the dance, this game is still one of significance. The chances for a regular season championship are remote; however, a win today is critical to keep these chances alive.

At this point, WVU is building its resume for seeding purposes. IMO, it is better for WVU to be seeded from #3-#6 to position themselves for a nice run in the tourney. The team has looked pretty good the last three games, so keep building that resume.

I saw an article by Alan Waters yesterday referring to this game's winner as a potential coach of the year decision maker. He might be right. The BU coach has done a wonderful job as well this season. The winner of today's game will be noticed. Lots of talking heads were pointing to this match-up as one of the weekend's best games.

Well it surely is a big game today. I know this much--Holton and Williams will have to play at a high level today for this team to win in Waco. In fact, they may have to play their best game of the year. Gathers, Cherry, & Prince are 3 players you have to keep in check. You have to keep Gathers off the glass and you have to defend against the 3 ball with Cherry & Prince. If you can limit the production of those 3, you can win. But, that is a monumental task. This is a very good Baylor team at home.

This game just got a lot tougher--Staton is out! Don't like our chances in this one at all. Might get ugly.

It certainly doesn't improve WVU's chances to go without Wanny. But, it gives some other kids a little more wiggle room with Huggy, so maybe they play a little more loose knowing there won't be a quick hook if they make a mistake.

IMO, the bigs gotta knock down the bunnies they missed last time, and if the kids keep shooting the 3 the way they have the last 5 games....there is a chance for an upset.

We'll see...
