Meh, what you guys need to realize is that nobody ever goes in there and actually answers those questions truthfully. The players and coaches know exactly what they're "supposed" to say in order to make us nosey bastards happy.

Taylor today got sick and tired of hearing it.........so he fired back a bit. At no point did he ever say he doesn't give a shit what Nebraska fans think..........he said he doesn't care if the public gives him grief.

Good for him. I liked it. You could hear members of the media in the background going "holy shit!!! this wasn't supposed to happen."

I'm sick and tired of watching all these news conferences and hearing the same old shit over and over again.........."yea, we're gonna be fine........we just need to work on the things that we need to work on"..........fuck that.......say what you really want to say!

But they can't, because this is what happens...........Husker fans take it out of context and go haywire.

JJM, Bo sounded good. He answered their questions in full sentences; which I think is contrary to what everyone thought would happen. Luckily Tragic took over for Bo with his idiotic responses. His answers were unacceptable; I guess not so much his responses but moreso with his shitty attitude and lack of leadership. I'll say it again Tragic is not a leader. The QB has to be the leader and I think everyone, including Bo, is praying that he will develop into one. What a leader would have said was he accepts responsibility for the loss. Go on and state that the coaching staff had a great plan and he didn't execute it well enough. He then goes on to say how he will learn from it and work hard during the following week. Follow Bo's lead from the postgame and apologize to his teammates and the State of Nebraska. If a question comes up about how good he reads the defense; he steps up and says he should be graded an F-. When questioned what he's going to do about it; he says review film and work with the coaches. If a question comes at him about Carnes; he gives him props but refer all answers about playing time to the coaches. If a question comes up if he were coach would he have pulled himself; a simple answer 'yes'. He would have then endured himself to the fans of Nebraska and to his teammates by accepting his responsibilities; guaranteed his coaches and teammates would have ran to his defense thus creating a tighter cohesive team.

Yeah the media are assholes no doubt about it. But they know this train wreck needs to be asked those questions..

Rep. I agree whole heartedly. Instead of having a I fucked up and I am going to work on it attitude, he comes out pouting from the start with I don't want to talk about it. I am not saying this game is on Taylors shoulders but he fucked up just as much and more than anyone else outside of Pelini and Beck.

Did anyone else come on with a fuck you attitude like him? And hell yeah when he says there is no problem with his reads the fan-base is going to rip him.

Why are the media assholes for pointing this out? I personally think they took it pretty easy on him. I was not one to let up when my boys had that piss off attitude when they fucked up, and because of that it is ingrained in their character that if they fuck up it is their responsibility to accept responsibility and to un-fuck it.

He is a kid in college but he is getting a scholarship for it. He wouldn't keep a job flipping burgers with that attitude.

I understand completely that these pressers are BS and that is why I am not going to be hanging by waiting for one to happen.

And if he had the least little bit of ownership in his attitude (not his words) I could accept his answerss a lot better. He came into that press conference pissed off and he made sure everyone knew he was pissed off. This was not so much his answers as his attitude.

That is my problem. I think Bo sat down and gave one of the most straight forward pressers he's ever done. Which is fitting for one of the worst losses we have ever had. I understand he is a lot older than TM but the attitude TM had is not appropriate for any one his age. He is old enough to realize that he fucked up and wear that squarely on his shoulders instead of coming in pouting and pissed off at the world.

See I just don't see it that way. How many times did they ask him the same question in that 4 minute period of time and he answered with "I have to learn to make better decisions."

Finally, they had asked that question enough times, and he said to himself "alright, you know what......fuck these guys, I will give them a different answer."

He sat up there and took reponsibility for making poor decisions, but when they keep asking the same question over and over again, it's fucking annoying. Not to mention, in the post-game press conference Taylor came right out and said "we lost this game due to turnovers, and I obviously was the one who committed those turnovers."

He repeatedly said "we need to forget this one and move onto the next game," but they just kept asking him "why do you suck, Taylor?"

Put yourself in his shoes. What is he, 20 years old? I'd be holding myself back from jumping over that table and going down there and breaking those fuckers noses.

still. He's the quarterback. Idc if he's a leader or not, he didn't show a lot of poise there. Like DB said his answer could be taken one of two ways: Either 1. Conformed to the idea that his level of play doesn't matter.
2. Thinks "im fine I'm above being criticized." Both are scary answers.

I suppose looking at it that way does give a different perspective. I just felt that from the very beginning that he began the interview with an attitude and that was the reason for the repeated questions.

I did not see the post conference either. I was sick to my stomach after that game and knew that there would be nothing said to make me feel better. If I had been smart I would not of listened to this one either.

I will give you that I came down hard on him.

I made remarks about his character when I don't really know him at all. That being said I do not get to go out and have a beer with him or sit down to bullshit. He needs to understand that most fans know him only by what he does on the field and what he says through these press conferences.
When I wanted to hear answers for this game and the answer is "forget about that game, I'm moving on." I understand that is what he needs to do but not at this press conference that is about what just happened. It took my level of frustration from Saturday and escalated it to what resulted in my posts.

I will give him a pass on this one. I cannot say I think he should be our starter though. We have seen the same thing since last September. Nothing is getting better. Any kind of pressure equals meltdown.

That being said I will and do hold the coaching staff responsible for that. If he stays in and we repeat these kind of games every time we face any kind of adversary than there is no other alternative but to feel that the staff has failed.

Hey, you may very well even be right about Taylor not having the right attitude en sech. I am just trying to be as positive as i can right now, because I don't want this turning into one of these callahan things where the team gets lost over something so little.

I am still under the impression that we could have won that game had we continued to establish the run game and passed out of play action. There is a reason we never had Tommie pass much back in the day, except out of play action.
