I'm getting really excited down here in NC. The flyers look awesome right now. Laughton, leier, ghost, Morin, vande Verde, akeson and streit especially.

Also really like Jones and Gordon.

Vinny, Raffl, akeson will do just fine as a line also.

Can't really complain about anyone except for Grossmann and Rosehill. Great game. Voracek looked better than the lockout season Voracek. (I understand this is against the preseason Devils)

Glad to hear this, because I thought we looked terrible in the last game at Toronto. I think Voracek and Ghost really fuel the offense.

Flyers look pretty good. If I were to make a prediction based on preseason play I would say the Flyers look like the favorites to win the Metro.

so after some sleep I'm toning it down a little bit. It was preseason, and it was just the Devils second game. But man did the flyers look good. After the game against Toronto earlier in the week I came down a little on my expectations for the young'ns. But now they're probably higher than they were before the preseason started. I think Laughton and Leier have the makings of a mighty strong 3rd line in a year or two. (or 4th line if the flyers dump the goon squad 4th line mentality). Ghost and Morin look like they could be top 4 guys. Sanheim looked awesome, and Hagg looked steady.

Our team speed was a direct result of the 1st three penalties that resulted in goals. We may have looked slow in Toronto but were flying last night. I really would like to have Ghost on the team he is Tory Krug but faster and better IMO

I've only seen Leire a couple of times but its like the puck follows him around. Every shift he either has the puck or is chasing it. He tips passes blocks shots, passes well ,shoots when he needs to hopeful he continues to get better. I am really impatient I want the future now but I know its not going to happen.

I'm super excited for Leier. I really am. He's got a Sami Kapanen type game. Good skater, decent offensive skills and responsible defensively. I really think he could be a great asset moving forward. My excitement power rankings at this point probably goes:

1. Ghost
2. Leier
3. Sanheim
4. Laughton
5. Morin
6. Hagg

This game was just another example of what we saw all of last year. When the Flyers skate hard, they are one of the better teams in the league. When they don't, they don't have the size or talent to compensate.
