Michigan State should have a huge year based on schedule. The only threat in non-conference is Notre Dame. In conference; no Ohio State, Wisconsin, or Penn State. Home game against Michigan. But we are talking about Michigan State and their anemic offence. I can see anywhere from 7-5 up to 9-3 so I will call it in the middle at 8-4.

I think the pressure is finally getting to Stoops. He has never won the NC with "his" players. Now he played for it a few times with "his" players but didn't get the job done. The folks in Norman are paying him a huge salary to win championships not come in second or tie for the league. Up until last season everyone that ever left Bob's staff did so on a voluntary basis ie they got a better job. Now people are getting fired and players are being released from the team. Bob's back is against the wall and he is reaching. This move smells like desperation to me. Put a kid in the mix who has never taken a pressure snap at the D-1 level. All I can say is he better be that good because if he isn't Bob has used up all his good will in Norman. The press is going to eat him alive and so will the boosters. He has never been friendly with the press and has made a lot of enemies but winning at least 10 games most of the time gives you a pass. Start losing and see how that works for ya Bob. I can see Bell having to come in and rescue the youngster in the very first game. ULM is not a game where you can relax. Ask Arkansas fans how that worked for them last year. Then they go on the road again and take Auburn to overtime the next week. Breaking in a rookie who is playing for the first time in front of 90,000 screaming fans who was by his own admission nervous in the spring game is a recipe for disaster.
