Have your co-starting RB get rolled up on and sprain both ankles, 2nd string RB (converted WR) is suspended for the opener, and 3rd string senior RB tear his ACL for the 3rd time in his career. Edmunds (co-starter), you're up and hope your conditioning is great and they throw a blue jersey on you for the next 2 weeks. We didn't want Logan Thomas to run as much as he has the last couple years, but looks like it's a very good possibility that he'll again lead the team in rushing.

Then have your starting Whip LB go down for the season with a separated shoulder and have a very inexperienced (but talented) secondary.
